The tour 15

Chapter 15 Mila POV On the drive to the hotel, I kept looking at the bracelet I was wearing. Would she remember giving it to me? I still remember the day that she and I went to the mall. It was my birthday. She told me she wanted to get something special, so we headed toward the mall, right to the jewelry store. I went to the clothes store as I wanted to find a few things for the party that night. It wasn't a big party; it was just going to be a small get-together. She didn't let me see it until that night. When I opened the box, my jaw dropped open. The bracelet was silver with a charm dangling from it. The charm was engraved, and it said "sisters forever." We weren't truly sisters by blood, but we were classified as sisters. We would bicker, but we also loved each other as sisters. That night, I shifted into my cat. It hurt like a b***h with my bones breaking so they could shift to my cat. Once the shifting was done, I shifted back to my human form. That's when I knew Hayes was my mate. We both agreed to keep it a secret until we figured out how to tell Jasper about it. To my surprise, he was happy for the both of us. Now, it's time to get Laura and my brother back together. I was nervous about what would happen if she didn't get her memory back. I worry about my brother; this is going to be really hard for him. We finally made it to the hotel. We saw a bunch of people who were inside, so we decided to wait for a few hours to go inside. After everyone left, we finally got out of the cars. Thank the goddess my butt started to hurt. I noticed Jasper had flowers, her favorite flowers sunflowers. "Hey, just remember, don't rush anything, Jasper. Take things slow. You don't want to scare her." "I know that, Mila. I'm not even sure if she likes sunflowers. I knew they were her favorite before, but we are about to find out. Let's get going; I want to get in there and see her. I want to make sure she's okay." So, we all walked over to the lobby. We walked inside. Jasper was the first to see her. She turned and acted like she was going to say something, but she stopped when she saw us. She quickly recovered then walked over to us. "Hey, guys, I am so sorry. I almost forgot you all were coming today. The interviews lasted a lot longer than I thought. Are you ready for the tour?" "Of course we are ready. We brought some friends; I hope you don't mind. I got these for you; I hope you like sunflowers." She took them out of his hand, then breathed in their scent. Her eyes lit up like she had just thought of something. She then said, "Yes, I love sunflowers. Thank you so much. Let's go put them in some water, then I will start the tour. Well, that is a plus, right? She remembered she loved sunflowers. Maybe now she will start letting us get close. But I don’t want to rush anything. I know I am worrying too much; that's just me. I worry a lot. I couldn't wait for the tour; I was excited about it. Jasper POV When she walked over to us, I wanted so badly to pull her close, to hold her in my arms. I wanted to tell her how much I missed her and wanted her to come home, but I didn’t want to scare her. It seemed she got a lot stronger in the last few days. There was color back in her face, and her eyes were a bright green color. I knew her wolf was watching as well; her cat was in there somewhere. Clem was talking to me; he told me that her cat is named Sissy, and Sassy is wanting to come out and run with me. But she hasn't even shifted yet, and I'm not so sure if she knew how to. I'm going to have to ask her once I get a chance, but right now, we are just spending some time together. I handed her the flowers, hoping she would remember something. And sure enough, I think she remembered; she just didn't say anything. She only said, 'Thank you, let me put them in some water and we will start the tour.' We followed her to the kitchen. It was a small space for just a couple of people. She found a vase that was on top of a cabinet, put water in it, then placed the flowers inside the vase. She then placed them on the shelf and turned to us, smiling. “Okay, as you can see right now, this is the kitchen. I want to make it bigger. I don't think people should make their own breakfast when they get up in the morning, so I want to make the outside of this a dining area. I've hired waiters and waitresses; all I need to do now is build it. Come on, let me show you.” We moved out of the kitchen into another small space, and then she said, “I want to make this bigger as well, so people can sit down and relax without worrying about anything. That's what I want them to do, just relax. Come on, let me show you the rooms we have here. We have over six hundred rooms, including mine and Lucy's. You haven't met her yet, but you will. She's going to be joining us when we have the BBQ. Right now, she's training a few girls for the lobby and the computers; she's in charge of that. Come on, let me show you the rest of the hotel.” I started thinking, maybe I could help her with the build of the new kitchen. If we work together, maybe she will start remembering things.
