Chapter 16

Lucy's Point of View

It took a few hours for me to train these girls. One got it right off, but it took a bit for the other two. I can't complain right now because they were listening. Sometimes, it takes a little bit more training. I told Preece I would see her around nine tonight. I will be training her for the night crew. I told the others I would see them tomorrow morning. I got up to walk around; my legs were sore from sitting all day. I prefer walking or working. I needed to meet up with Laura in the group. I knew I kept smelling a scent once they walked inside, but I didn't have time to look up. I needed to get this training done. There was only one male that I think was single and might be my mate. It could be one of the guards or warriors. I went to my room to freshen up, then I hurried to find them. I found Laura with the group at the nurseries. She was showing them the human nursery when she caught up to them. That's when she smelled a musky scent, with a mix of lemon. She was looking around and even stood by the warriors to make sure that none of them was her mate. She didn't want to make it seem like she was inappropriate, so she started walking with Laura.

"Did you get the girls trained?"

"Yeah, it took a while, but I think they got it. Preece is supposed to be back here at nine today, so I can train her a little bit more. She needs to learn about rogues. She doesn't have a pack. She said she's been roaming from country to country trying to find a home to stay. She doesn't cause any trouble. She said she likes to stay to herself. This is her fourth job since she's been here. The other ones chased her off for some reason. She wouldn't tell me, but I have a feeling she will once she gets comfortable."

“Good to know. I don't want trouble here. We have a hotel to run smoothly. I know it won't always run like that, but for right now, I'd rather have it be that way." We stopped talking once we got to the garden where new shifters come and shift. I listened to her talk about it.

“I made this place to be safe for the newly shifters. If they are here and if it's time for them to shift, I want their group to feel safe. Every room is soundproof, so none of the humans will be able to hear anything that's going on.” We walked further into the garden. I noticed she planted sunflowers in a garden she did. I didn't know when she did this, but I think it's beautiful. On the other side was a small pond with fish swimming in the water. I swear I never noticed this before; it feels so peaceful. You can watch the fish forever. She showed them the human wing and the supernatural wing.

“As you can see, one wing is far away from the other. You see, once my parents passed away, they left me this hotel. I want to keep it peaceful with no trouble for anyone. Come on, let me show you the outside pool area." Once we got there, she showed them the pool. It was usually bare, with nothing around it, but I guess she put tables and chairs around it, a little mini bar. This is really nice. I was impressed. We walked back inside and showed them the indoor pool. It was the same with tables and chairs, but she also put a little mini bar inside, with changing rooms where you can change out of your bathing suit into dry clothes. Once she showed them this, she said,

"And my favorite spot, I like to call it my peace." She opened the doors to the hall that was made for all sorts of parties. Inside there were more tables and chairs that she did and a small stage. Now, where did she have the time to build that? There were almost photos of other packs and their alphas and lunas on the wall; this place was beautiful. I didn't know she did this. I'm going to need to talk to her later at night or tomorrow, but right now, my attention was caught by the queen and king. I did not realize they were here. The queen placed a finger to her lips to tell me not to say anything. I nodded at her."

“Mis Laura, i was thinking of having a ball soon to others can seek out their mate, is there anyway i can use this hall, im sure people will love it here, its beautiful," The queen had said, i stood there trying not to let me jaw drop open, Laura turned to finally look at her. The way she looked at the queen it was like she knew her, Laura walked close to her, then she reached with her hand to touch her hand, her eyes wide as she realized who she was, her jaw dropped open, than it closed, she was shaking her head trying to clear it, i ran over to her to catch her from falling, When she finally recovered she then said,

“I know you, your not like us are you, your the queen and the man standing next to you is the king, then Again her mouth dropped open than closed, again i had to catch her, she was shaking her head than she finally said, i know you as well, your the king, I used to be in love with you, i even tried to take you at one point in time, i am truly sorry, please forgive me,”

‘There is nothing to forgive honey, everything is fine, i was just enjoying the tour, So how about it, can i rent this hall say about a month from now, a change of pace will do some good, and I will make sure no one wrecks it,”

“Of course you can use it, I will pull up the paperwork,”

“OKay, just send it to me, and I will send you the money for the ball,”

“No.No, its okay, this will be the first time i use that hall, besides your the king and queen, I could not charge you to use the hall for a ball to have people to find their mates, Let me know what you need for the ball and i will get it for you.” This time, it was LeeAnn that said no,

“No, honey, we have people for that. They will be coming next week with the supplies to decorate the hall. I promise you won't even know they are here,” They talked for another hour, and then the BBQ started. We were outside by the pool. Two grills were set and two cooks were cooking hamburgers, when they were done they placed the hamburgers in front of them we put our own things on the burgers, I watched as Jasper set beside Laura, this is going to be a long night,

“So, are you going to keep avoiding me or are you going to talk to me, I slightly jumped when i looked at this handsome man that was pulling out a chair to sit down beside me,

‘The name is Berk im Jaspers Beta, i saw you right when you walked up to Laura, you stood by some of the warriors, why did you do that when you knew none of them was your mate,”

“I didn't want people to think I was looking for you until the time is right, plus Laura was giving everyone a tour, I kinda feel bad about Jasper. She remembered Xander and LeeAnn but not Jasper, i hope her memory comes back about him soon. He loves her very much.” I looked up and watched them. She was smiling at Jasper as she fed him a french fry, then bit into her burger.

Yeah, he had so much work to do back at the house. He got up early to finish it so he could be here for her. He stopped to get the sunflowers. He was so nervous, "So are you going to reject me or accept me?" I was surprised when he asked me that. I didn't know what to think when he said that. But I am the one who should be asking him that. Since he gave me the lead, I pretended to think about it. But I had a smirk on my face.

“Of course, I am going to accept you. I was nervous that you were going to reject me.”

“Why would I reject you? I've been looking for you for almost two hundred years. I'm not about to reject you unless you betray me. I don't think that's going to happen.” Shaking my head, I agreed with him. Then we said those words to accept each other. He kissed me tenderly and whispered in my ear, “I know you're supposed to train someone tonight. Just give me your key to your room, and I will be waiting for you when you get done.” I blushed as I pulled out the key to my room and handed it to him. There was a light buzzing noise on the key, and then his prints were made to put on the pad to my room.

“That's safety cautions. We have hand pads to get into the room. Since I have given you the key, they copied your handprint so you can place your hand on the pad to go inside.” He nodded as he pulled me close while we ate our dinner.
