Chapter 11

Mila POV

When the guards told us that Laura was in my brother's office, I tried to stop him from running inside. I knew he had been waiting for her to come back. But before I could stop him, he ran into the room. I heard her scream, "STOP!" Hurrying into the room, I saw her hand raised to stop him. She told him that she understood why he thought she was his wife because she looked like her. I was mindlinking him, telling him to say something, anything, but he couldn't stop. He was hurt by what she had said to him. That’s when I stepped up and started telling her everything, right down to her ex-mate and what he did to her, and then meeting us and her mate Jasper. I could tell she believed me, but she was still standoffish. I understood why. Imagine lying in a hospital in a coma for three years, and once you wake up, no one is there to help you or answer any questions that you have. I could tell she doesn't remember any of us, not even Hayes or Berk, not even me, though we were once close. I would like to get back to that. But first, we have to gain her trust. Would she agree to stay with us to get to know us again? We can't force her. I saw my brother finally gathering his thoughts. He let out a loud sigh and then just stood there. He walked over to his desk to sit down and gathered his composure. He took a few deep breaths to calm down. I knew he wanted to say something. He was upset right now, so she was trying to calm down. Come on, big brother, say something, anything.

“Laura, I hope you will give me a chance to prove that you are my mate. I won't make you stay here with me, but I hope you will come visit me since you know where I am. I won't force you to remember me; I know if I force anything on you, your memories will not come back. Like my sister said, there was a war, and the kingdom won. What came next is the trust in what she said - your ex escaped, wanting you by his side. When you went to him, you stabbed yourself to stab into his heart. Once you were dead, you blacked out. I can't tell you more because my sister Mila had already told you the rest. If I had known you were waking up that day, I would have stayed home. "This is your home and your office. You can invite whomever you want inside. I knew she didn't believe me, so I called for them to come inside the room. A few seconds later, they walked hand in hand into the room. I needed her to believe me. I don't want her to think I was lying to her. I introduced them to her; she already knew Rice, but Alpha Creek she didn't know. Still, I introduced them like it was the first time she was meeting her.

Laura, I would like for you to meet Rice and her mate Alpha Creek Regions from the Gray cat army pack. Rice here will be going home with him since they are mates. Her mother will be going with them as well. See, I wasn't lying at all. Where would I get for lying? I need to ask you something if you don't mind. Where did you stay last night? I am not sure if you have your wolf or your cat right now, so you probably haven't shifted; you weren't able to climb a tree or anything. Plus, one of my warriors said they saw you jump into a car. Did you stay with them? I knew I was asking all kinds of questions, but I needed to know that she was safe, even if it was a man who picked her up. I just needed to know. Yes, I would feel jealous, but I don't want her to know that. I don't want her to be scared of me. She did answer me; I was a little surprised; I tried to hide it."

“When i woke up in that hospital, I ran until i got to a road, than i kept running i knew something was after me i just didn't know what it was, So when this car pulled up a nice lady asked if i needed a ride so i jumped inside, she took me to this hotel apparently that i own, and i need to hire more people for, the girl at the front desk told me I had owned that hotel for many years, she thought something happened to me since she hadn't seen me for three years, her name is Lucy, she's very kind, and told me about my life well part of it that i was in love with the king but once i found my mate i didn't want him anymore, I guess that was the ex she was talking about, because she didn't mention you, Unless she kept you out on purpose, she does know i have no memories about my past, by the way, i need to get going, Can someone give me a ride back please. I would rather not walk through the woods. It can be a long walk,” I jumped up from my desk to come around it to stand in front of her but not to close.

“I rather you not walk through them either, it can be very dangerous at night, if you don't want to ride in the car with me alone, my sister can come with us, if she doesn't mind of course, and Her mate Hayes can come as well, I turned to them and said,

“Yes, i know your mates, ive been known, i don’t know why you wanted to hide it, everyone can see you making eyes at each other for crying out loud,” they looked at me shocked, than i said,

‘Well, will you come with us or not? I don't want her being scared to be alone with me. They laughed and said.

“Yes,. we will come with you. Stop freaking out already,”

“Thanks guys, my co manager put an ad on the computer we want to hire more people, so tomorrow is going to be a long day, yall can come and help if you want, but that's up to you,” We all left the pack house to head to the car, i opened the front seat passenger door for her and she got inside, she said thank you as i shut the door. I was nervous as all four of us drove off together, I hope she will want to get to know me again, I do not want to lose her again. I wouldn't be able to handle it as we drove down the road. I wondered how long it would take to get her memory back. If she were to date someone, would she reject me? This all confuses me. Why is the moon goddess doing this? There has to be a reason for all of this. One thing is for certain I'm not letting her go this time. When we arrived at the hotel I was a little surprised at how beautiful it looked. With. Light brown color with white trimming. I didn't know she owned this. I parked the car, turning the engine off. She hurried to get out of the car, Mila was the first to ask

“Can we go inside to look around. I've seen this hotel before. I just didn't know who owned it. It's beautiful, Laura.” Laura smiled her beautiful smile and said sure. I could tell she was nervous about all of us being here. I didn't want to rush her into anything, so I held Mila back and said.

“Mila, how about we come back another day and take a tour. It's getting late and I'm sure she's tired.” I walked over to Laura. And asked her.

“What room are you staying in? She told me about the room. Then I asked if I could walk her to her door.”

“I think it's best if we say good night here. It's been fun but we can say good night right here, I'm not trying to be a b***h, but I don't know you at all, maybe when i get to know you i will let you walk me to my door, But since you want a tour of the hotel, i'll see you tomorrow,
