Caught in the Rumor Mill

Sarah felt her heart racing as she listened to the conversation between the two women. She couldn't believe that the news about her and Michael's marriage had already made it to the tabloids. She felt a sudden panic rising in her chest, knowing that the media attention would only bring unwanted attention to her personal life.

She quickly composed herself and walked out of the restroom, trying her best to act as normal as possible. As she walked back to her desk, she noticed that some of her co-workers were giving her curious looks, as if they were waiting for her to say something about the news.

Sarah felt a lump form in her throat as she sat down at her desk. She remembers how her team mates told her about the incident that happened last year, where a woman who entered their department used her influence to get one of the employees from the company fired. Due to the problem, the employee who got terminated had a hard time finding a new job and was struggling to make ends meet. Sarah knew how tough it is to lose a job and the impact it could bring to someone's life.

She didn't want to be seen as someone who got her job because of her connections. She worked hard to get where she is now, and she doesn't want anyone to question her abilities. She knew that the media attention would bring unwanted attention to her and might cause people to have doubts about her capabilities. She knew that she had to act fast to prevent any rumors from spreading about her engagement to Michael.

Sarah's heart was pounding as she heard her co-worker scream about a photo being taken. She knew that this could only mean trouble for her, especially given the recent news about the President's son and his bride-to-be. Without thinking twice, Sarah quickly made her way over to her co-workers and grabbed the photo from them.

Everyone in the room looked at her with confusion and curiosity, wondering why she had acted so quickly and abruptly. "Sarah? What are you doing?" one of her co-workers asked, looking at her in surprise.

Sarah took a deep breath and examined the photo closely. Her initial fear and panic began to dissipate as she realized that the woman in the photo was not her, but Lucy. Relief washed over her, but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt and shame for assuming the worst.

She handed the photo back to her co-workers, who were still staring at her in confusion. "Sorry, I thought it was something else," she mumbled, trying to cover up her mistake. Her co-workers nodded, but the awkward tension in the room was palpable.

At the President's office...

Marvin, had heard about the rumors of the engagement between Michael and one of his employees. Intrigued by this news, he decided to pay a visit to the employee's department. As he walked towards the group of employees, his confident gait and powerful aura demanded attention. Sarah couldn't help but feel mesmerized by his striking appearance. He is a man in his mid-thirties, with sharp, angular features that gave him a commanding presence. He had a strong jawline and high cheekbones that were accentuated by his clean-shaven face. His thick, black hair was styled neatly, and his deep brown eyes sparkled with intelligence and confidence.

He stood tall and straight, his broad shoulders filling out his crisp white dress shirt and navy blue suit. The top button of his shirt was undone, revealing a hint of his well-defined chest. His shoes were polished to a high shine, and his watch gleamed on his wrist.

She had heard that Marvin was known for his strong leadership skills and had a reputation for being a tough but fair boss.As he walked in, the employees were taken aback, wondering why the OIC was visiting their department.

Marvin called for everyone's attention and gave an important announcement. He congratulated them on a job well done and praised Sarah for her outstanding effort that contributed to the team's success. Sarah's supervisor agreed with Marvin and highlighted her contribution to the team's efforts.

The employees were surprised and relieved that Marvin's visit was not related to the rumors about the President's son. They went back to work, relieved and inspired to work harder knowing that their hard work and contributions are appreciated by their superiors.

As Marvin was seated in his office, he couldn't help but be captivated by Michael's bride-to-be, Sarah's stunning looks. Her soft facial features, delicate cheekbones, and bright eyes were framed by her silky, dark hair that cascaded down her shoulders. She had a natural glow to her complexion that made her look radiant and flawless. Marvin was impressed not only by her beauty, but also by the way she carried herself - with confidence, poise, and intelligence. He could tell that she was a woman of substance, and he felt drawn to her. Marvin couldn't stop thinking about her and found himself lost in her charm and grace, when he heard someone clear their throat. He looked up and saw Michael standing in front of him with a folder in his hands. "Ah, Michael," Marvin said, standing up from his desk. "Thank you for bringing those documents. I need them for tomorrow's appointment."

Michael handed the folder over to Marvin, who quickly skimmed through the papers. Satisfied with what he saw, Marvin looked up at Michael and said, "Congratulations, by the way, on your wedding."

Michael's response was cold and detached. "Thanks," he said curtly, his eyes avoiding Marvin's gaze. There was an uncomfortable silence that lingered between them for a moment before Michael turned around and left the room.

Sarah's co-workers noticed how Marvin, the OIC, looked at Sarah during his visit to their department. They saw how he couldn't take his eyes off her and how he seemed to be mesmerized by her beauty. They started teasing her, telling her that they looked good together and that Marvin must have been impressed by her work. Sarah felt a little uncomfortable with their teasing, but deep down, she knew that Marvin was just being polite and professional.

She admitted to herself that Marvin was indeed a good-looking man, with his chiseled jawline, piercing brown eyes, and perfectly groomed hair. However, Sarah reminded herself that she needed to focus on her job and not get distracted by the OIC's looks. She knew that she needed to brush off her co-workers' teasing and remain professional, especially since she was engaged to Michael.
