Chapter 5

Mason's POV

(future Alpha who wanted to marry Sarah)

“Are you sure she is not there as well” I asked my man, standing in front of me.

“Yes Alpha. I have checked in all the packs around us. I even checked the human towns and cities near pack territories. But there is no trace of her” he said hesitantly, looking down.

His voice is laced with fear.

My hands curled into fist as anger began taking over me.

'where could she be?’

This question is messing with my mind.

It has been three years since the day she left this pack, the day she left me.

My Sarah.

And even after searching for her in every pack around my pack, I couldn’t find her. That is why I even ordered my warriors to look for her in human world but they couldn’t find her.

I even hired some best human investigators but they also didn’t find her.

It is as if she disappeared from this world.

But no matter wherever she goes, I will find her definitely. And then I will make her pay for everything she did.

“I don’t care where she is, find her. If you don’t, you will also die like those stupid excuse of warriors who were looking for her before you” I threatened.

I have killed almost eight warriors who failed to find her.

“Ye... Yes Alpha” he stuttered with eyes casted down and body shivering slightly.

I smirked when I sensed his fear.

“Now leave” I said and looked at the file in front of me. But he didn’t leave.

I looked up to find him still standing here, thinking about something.

“speak” I said when I realized he is hesitating to say something.

“Uhmm… Alpha, there is only one pack where we couldn’t check as we can’t just enter in that territory without their Alpha's permission” he said and I raised a brow.

I know about which pack he is talking about.

There is only one pack where no outsider can enter. That is why I thought that she won’t go there.

But what if she is there?

It can’t be that she disappeared just like that. If she is not in any other pack, it can be possible that she is there.

Because I have a strong feeling that she is still alive.

It might be possible someone helped her in hiding because of her innocent face.

“When is the meeting?” I asked my man.

“Today, at two pm” he replied and I smirked.

“Then let’s check if she is hiding there” I said and got up from my chair and headed towards my room.

There is a meeting in that pack today. At first, I wasn’t planning on going there, but now I might just confirm my doubt.

It’s time to visit the most dangerous pack of wolves,

Travis’s POV

I am pacing around in the living room of my house since last night. The things which Selena told me on the call, day before yesterday is still echoing in my ears again and again.

Fear has gripped my heart and my mind is complete mess.

Out of all the people moon goddess has to pair her with Aiden.

I am trying to think of a way to help Kayden but can’t come up with anything.

I got Alpha Gabriel’s number from Kayden’s diary and called him yesterday and told him about Selena's call. I was hoping that he would help them as they are his pack members but he refused saying he can’t go against the Alpha of such a powerful pack.

I found out that Aiden took over Dark Moon Pack few months ago and now he is the Alpha.

Alpha Gabriel also advised me to not interfere in this matter if I love my life.

But how can I not?

My friend who is like a brother to me, who helped me when I had no one with me, is locked in a dungeon and might get killed anytime.

I know what kind of person Aiden is. Killing others is not a big deal for him. In fact he enjoys seeing others in pain, begging for mercy in front of him.

That is why I am trying to think of a way to help him. For a second the idea of entering in the pack came to my mind but I stopped myself.

What will I do even if I go there. If I enter pack secretly and got caught, then warriors might consider me as a rogue. And I don’t want that to happen.

They will either kill me on sight or I will be locked as well and I can’t afford any of that.

If by any chance I did enter the pack without getting caught, then it is impossible to enter in the dungeon with many warriors guarding the place, let alone getting someone out from there.

Talking with Aiden will not help either. In fact I am sure if he found out that Kayden is my friend he will hurt him more.

He has always hated me for a reason unknown to me.

The only way which might be able to work out is asking for Aron’s help. I have his number with me. He had told me to call him only when it is necessary. As we don’t want anyone to find out where I am.

I had talked with him last time when I had moved in with Kayden. I had called him to inform him that he doesn’t need to worry about me anymore as I found a good friend here.

After that we never talked.

He was the one who had helped me in running away from the pack without anyone knowing and he can help me in entering as well, sneakily.

He can even help me in entering the dungeon which is always guarded. If I can’t enter inside, he can definitely help in getting Kayden out without any suspicion.

But the problem is if anyone finds out that he was the one who let someone out from the dungeon, then he will be in great trouble.

Especially when that person is locked as per Alpha's command.

But I have no choice.

I have been thinking to find a way without involving Aron but can’t.

I sighed defeated before pulling my phone out of my pocket.

I can’t waste much time. I have already wasted a day.

I opened the contact list and my finger hovered over Aron’s name, contemplating about whether to call him or not.

I couldn’t get to ponder over it as the door bell ranged.

A frown appeared on my face thinking who would be here at this time.

I placed the phone on the table and went towards the door to open it.

The moment I opened the door and my gaze fell on the person standing outside, my body froze completely.

My mind went blank as I couldn’t believe my own eyes.

“What… are you…” words refused to come out of my mouth as I stared at the man I hate the most,

My father, Alpha Zander.

Shock.

This is what I am feeling right now staring into those blue orbs which made me hate blue colour.

Many questions began swirling in my head.

Flashes of past began playing in my mind like a movie, reminding me what this man has done to me

“Won’t you let me in, son” he said and I came out of my shocked state.

Anger surged inside me and I gritted, “you are not welcome here”.

I was about to close the door when his next words stopped me, causing my breath to get stuck in my throat.

“Don’t you want to save your friend?” he asked.

‘what friend is he talking about?’

'does he know about Kayden?’

‘or something happened to Aron. Did he find out he was the one who helped me in running away. I swear I will kill him if he dared to hurt my friend'

I was lost in my thoughts when his voice brought me to my senses,

“Let’s talk inside” he said and pushed me slightly and walked in.

The only reason I didn’t stop him is because of my friend he is talking about.

I really hope nothing happened to Aron.

But I don’t understand how did he find my place?

In my shocked state I didn’t notice that his beta is also here. He too came inside.

I closed the door and took deep breath.

‘its just for few minutes that I have to bear him' I said to myself before walking towards living room.

Alpha Zander and his Beta sat down on the couch comfortably as if they own this house.

“how did you find me?” I asked. A smirk plastered on his face at my question which annoyed me.

“It wasn’t too difficult with the money I have” he replied arrogantly. I noticed he haven’t changed at all.

He still looks strong and intimidating just like before.

I sighed and sat down across from him and asked.

“What do you mean by what you said?” I asked.

“Wow.. aren’t you even going to ask how am I? And….” He began speaking but I cut him in the middle,

“Just cut the crap. I don’t care about your life, just tell me why you are here” I said.

I noticed his eyes have turned a shade darker.

Of course he is not used to anyone talking to him like this.

“don’t interfere when I am talking” he gritted through his teeth. His tone is laced with warning and the aura around him has turned darker.

His deep blue orbs are glaring at me darkly.

To say that I am not scared would be a lie. I am very well aware that the man sitting in front of me is very capable of killing me in a matter of second.

Even though he is my own father.

But I didn’t show my fear and asked again, but this time a bit calmly, “why are you here?”

“Your friend with whom you live here…” the second these words left from his mouth my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach.

He is here because of Kayden, but why?

I couldn’t think much about it as his continued speaking,

“he is locked in the dungeon of my pack.” He said. The way he emphasized the words my pack, gave me bad vibes.

A restlessness settled inside me but I didn’t say anything.

“What was his name….” he asked tapping his chin trying to remember before uttering, “Kayden, right?”

My heart became heavy.

“What do you want?” I asked because I realized that he is here for something.

He is not a kind of person who would come here just to tell me this. And he is not someone who would help me free my friend for nothing.

There has to be a catch.

“What I want from you?” he repeated my words and I don’t know why I have a very bad feeling about it.

The dark smirk which appeared on his face told me that I am thinking right.

He has some bad intentions. Evilness glinted in his blue orbs which caused knots to form in my stomach.

My heart began to beat loudly as I waited for his next words. And the moment he opened his mouth and uttered his next words,

My heart stopped beating for a moment causing anger, hatred and most importantly, fear to crawl into my each vein.
