Khloe's POV
I tried calming Adele down but she just wouldn't be calmed.
"You know what vexes me the most?" Adele asked rhetorically.
"It's most likely one of those golden girl bitches or Jasmine and her dumb friends." Adele said. "I'll so tear them into pieces."
"Calm down, please." I said, using sign language. I had learnt it over the years and Adele understood it a bit. Texting just seemed more effective with her.
"Let's go get new uniforms and also a bucket of paint for this room." Adele said, leaving the room. We were still in the overflowing gowns we wore after the training. Clothes especially uniforms are in abundance because everyone rips apart their clothes during transformation.
We strolled down the east wing to the west wing, just about ten minutes away from our room to go get uniforms and a bucket of paint.
"When I eventually catch whoever did that, I'll make sure I dip their heads in a bucket of paint." Adele said.
"I agree." I responded using the sign language.
After grabbing paints, we were about leaving when some familiar faces apprached us, the golden girls. Adele's body was already fuming especially when we saw red paint on their hands. I held Adele's right hand to prevent her from doing anything drastic.
"What are you getting paint for? Don't you like the design?" Sophie asked and Adele lost it.
"You say one more word and I'll beat you up pretty bad." Adele threatened angrily.
"I'd like to see you try." Sophie said and before she could get a whiff of what would happen, she was already on the floor. Adele pinned her to the ground while the other girls tried to get her off Sophie. I was just watching, confused about what to do.
Making sure I did not think about the consequences, I pushed Caramel off Adele's body and punched her in the face. I've been wanting to do that over the years. I did the same with Laura and it gave Adele a few more seconds to beat Sophie up. They were all screaming and it was gathering attention and students were cheering already.
Laura and Caramel ganged up against me. It was hard fighting both of them but they eventually beat me up, I was being beaten by both of them when a teacher walked in on us and some guards separated us. At this time, there was blood on Sophie's face, and injuries on mine.
"What is this?!" He asked angrily and ordered us to be taken to his office.
***
Back in our room after the fight incident, Adele was cursing at the teacher that separated us. He had taken the sides of the golden girls and only punished us. Adele's day was already made as she did what she had always wanted to do ever since she set foot in Whitmore Academy; beat Sophie up. She was so caught up with herself that she didn't even notice the scars on my face. That hurt me really bad.
I had just finished repainting the room, and I am tired already. Listening to Adele's whines would not make me feel any better. Trying to read a book in the room wouldn't work, neither would anything else.
"I need to go train. You've had your fill of Sophie, she might just have hers of me when we fight each other." I texted Adele.
"I can't go today." Adele said . "Sure you'll be fine without me?"
I nodded affirmatively.
"Good. And don't stress too much, she's very easy to beat." Adele said.
I definitely didn't listen to her, according to what I saw, she was only able to beat Sophie because she caught her off guard and before Sophie could fight back, she had pinned her to the floor. It would not be the same in a face off against each other.
I took my sword, an extra pair of clothes after changing and also a bag of chips and left the room. I went to the forest close to the academy. It's always peaceful and quiet. Training there should be great. Firstly, I brought out my sword to practice my moves for the fight.
Acquainting myself with the surroundings, I closed my eyes and made sure I could hear every sound. The rush of the waterfall close to the forest, the chirps of the birds on top of the trees, the quick rush of the wind and I immediately start practicing, fighting against an invisible opponent.
I was getting right into it when I began hearing footsteps and the sound of twigs snapping. I stopped immediately to confirm my fears as my heart was already beginning to race really fast. I looked around to see if I would note anything but I could see nothing or hear anything . I could only feel another presence in the woods.
"I can't die like this, I can't go out like this. Nobody would even notice that I'm gone." I thought.
I prepared myself for the worst, held my sword very tightly and stood with a killer stance.
The twigs and snaps were getting closer and my heart was racing faster. I began seeing a black shadow circling trees around me. I could not see the person's face, neither could I do anything than prepare to defend myself. I saw the person run closer to me and I fearfully threw my sword in that direction, hoping it would go right through the person's chest only to be disappointed as I could see neither my sword nor the person anymore.
I began panicking really hard. My heart was beating very fast and if only I could scream, I would have screamed on the top of my voice. I would have begged for my life to be spared. I was about doing the next thing I could do, run, when my I felt the cold touch of my sword on my neck.
"Say your last prayers." The person said and I closed my eyes, shivering.
