Finding Jayla

Someone ran into my office.

"Alpha, please calm down."

Cyrus's head snapped to the side and let a dangerous growl.

"Alpha, you need to calm down. Cyrus let Jace come back."

Cyrus carried on growling, and all I could do was try and push forward. But Cyrus wasn't budging. His Luna had disrespected him and that was something he couldn't let go of. After a few minutes had passed Cyrus retracted back into my mind and I stood there naked. Jason handed me some trackies and I pulled them on.

Upstairs Brianna was rummaging through her wardrobe, pulling out her clothes and throwing them on the bed. Shoes thrown across the room. I had enough, I could here loud thuds above my office, pack members and the staff were all mumering I could hear them. I got off of my chair and strode towards the door.

"Alpha, don't do anything stupid."

I looked over at Jason before I stormed up the stairs. The closer I got to our room the louder the noise came.

I kicked the door open and Brianna stopped dead. Her face paling slightly and her breath hitched. She slowly put down the pair of shoes she had in her hand, never taking her eyes off of me. I slowly staked towards her. Her breathing became jaggered and her hands trambled.

For each step I took towards her, she backed up a step then another until her back hit the wall. As I approached my hand went around her throat as I stepped right into her. Her hands was wrapping around my arm, her nails ripping intol my skin. Cyrus pushed forward and released his aura as her legs buckled and she started shaking uncontrollably. I felt the pressure tight on her throat then with drew my hand back. Brianna collapsed on the floor in a heap, suddenly scrambling to kneel to her Alpha.

I took a Deep breath and looked down at her.

"Come down to the study, we need to talk."

I sighed and turned heading to the door, I turned around and took another look at her as I walked out and shut the door. I headed to my office and walked to the small bar in the corner, I pulled a glass and filled it with whiskey. I took a very large swig and swallowed it letting the hot sting run down my throat.

I felt her come into the room, as I turned I lowered the glass and set it down on the desk. I motioned with my eyes at her to the chair opposite my desk. Brianna hurriedly took the seat and sat there with her hands in her lap.

I pulled out a stack of papers and put them on the desk infront of her.

"W..what's this?"

"Read." I told her.

I sat in my chair and left a hand on the desk, my fingers started to tap the desk. Brianna looked up at me.

"You want a divorce, and desolve our mate bond?"

"Yes, I think that it would be for the best."

"The best for who? You?" Her voice started getting loud.

"Brianna, tell me exactly what you have done for this pack since you got here?"

"What do you mean? I am the Luna, so what I didn't go to my Luna Studies, I didn't sit in that cold boring office every single damn day listening to these lowly ingrates whine about this and that."

I closed my eyes and sighed.

"Brianna, your Luna duties is something that all new Lunas do. They learn from the former Luna of the pack. You never bothered or even tried to connect to pack members. You never helped with the basic pack politics. The pre-school nursery is something my own mother started and you, you as a future Luna should be taking over. Requests from pack members concerning building repairs, grocerys and medical supplies are your responsibilities. Goddess damn Brianna."

"Oh so this is all my fault?"

"Well who else should I blame? Your job is to help the Alpha, didn't your parent's ever teach you this?"

Her head snapped to me.

"Don't you are bring my parent's into this."

"Why wouldn't I, All I can see is an entitled bratt that like to get her own way."

Brianna sat there and glared at me. Cyrus wantin g to push forward and take over. I forced him back.

"Sign the papers Brianna, let's settle this calmly. We will divorce and on the Full Moon we will desolve our bond."

"And what about the Luna Sevedrance pay."

I looked at her not believing my own ears right now.

"E..Excuse me what did you say?"

She stood up and planted both hands on the desk.

"I said dear Alpha, what about my monthly pay and the Luna Severance Pay? I'm not leaving here with nothing."

I just sat there not believing what she had just said. Does she really think she is entitled to anything?

I sat up straight and looked her dead in the eye.

"Firstly, You won't get a single penny. Secondly, You have spent more than what you have actually earn't since being here. and Thirdly, the Luna severance pay is a payment in addition to your pay for all the work a Luna might do in her reign at the pack. Unfortunately you have done nothing but spend pack money. So since you don't get paid for spending packs money you don't get a dime."

Brianna staightened up and glared at me.

"Sign the papers Brianna."

I slidded the pen towards her. I watched as she picked it up and signed her name on both papers. Just as she turned and walked towards the door.

"You can stay in the Luna suite until you leave the day after the full moon."

She stormed out threw the door and slammed it. Just as Jason had walked threw.

"Uh.. what was all that about?"

"Take a seat." I sighed and went and poured 2 glasses of whiskey. I handed him a glass as I sat in my seat and gather the 2 lots of papers.

"So what's going on Alpha? Everything ok?"

"Brianna signed the Mate desolving paper and the Divorce papers."

"What?"

"Yeah, the next full moon it will all be over." I took another swig.

Silence filled the air for a few minutes. The quiet in my office was peaceful for once. It felt calm and lighter.

"Jace, I miss her you know."

I looked at him and nodded, I knew exactly who he was on about. Jayla. Our child hood best friend. The best friend who we shared everything with. I smiled then it faltered, the memory of me throwing her out, the look on her face as she turned and ran.

Quietness consumed us both again. I needed to find her, tell her I was sorry. I wanted her back. No I needed her back.

"Jason, Look into it, find out where she is. Try and get a reading on her parents."

Jason face smiled widely, he put down his glass, his smile was so bright.

"On it Alpha." He bolted out of the office.

The thought of Jayla actually put a smile on my face, I hadn't smiled in what seemed forever. The thought of Jayla cleared the fog in my head. My heart got a little excited thinking of seeing her again.

Would she forgive me? Would she come back? I couldn't think of that I needed to find her first.

I finished off my glass of whiskey and decided to go for a run. I needed to run and clear my head. I got up and walked fast outside to the tree line. I turned and saw young cubs playing in wolf form on the grass. I jumped and Cyrus shifted in mid air and we just ran.
