within a few seconds Brianna was calling again, I really couldn't be bothered to answer the call. I already had a headache starting and listening to her scream on the phone again was more than I could bare right now. just then the office phone rang. I was hesitant on answering in case it was Brianna. But the office phone was The Packs main line. I answered bracing myself. I never spoke until I heard my mother's voice, and I let the tense in my sboulders relax. "Son! please tell me Brianna is going to meet me for her Luna studies today?" I sighed and rubbed my temple. "Not now mum." "Son it isn't good, since she's been at thus pack she has either cancelled or not bother showing up 9 times. Do you know I had to organise the school's gala day. This is something she should of done." "Mum, I know. I will talk to her." "Very well, but Jace, she needs to start acting like a Luna instead of being entitled." "Got it mum, speak soon." I slowly dropped the receiver and slumped back in my chair my head starting to throb. could this day get any worse? I tried to shut everything out just so I could get a little peace. But that was to much like wishful thinking. My shoulders automatically tensed up as a thrilled voice echoed into my office. "Jace how could you? you blocked my f*****g card. Do you know how embarrassing it was in Diva's infront of the elite for my card to be declined? What the f**k were you thinking?" Brianna stomped right up to me jabbing her finger in my chest. I stood there and glared at her, Cyrus was growling low in my mind, for the disrespect that his Luna was giving him. I clenched my hands into fists as rage was building. I needed to get out of here and get away for a while. "Bud you ready?" "Hell yeah." as Cyrus howled inside my head. I walked right past Brianna and walked off down the hall. Brianna screaming my name as I strolled away. I pushed open the main door and jumped mid air handing over to Cyrus as he shifted and sprinted threw the small forest that led to the bottom of the mountains. I handed over full control to Cyrus and let him run. He jumped tree stomps, boulders and straw bales that had been harvested. We ended up running up one side of the mountain to the point. There you can look down on the whole ranch and the nearby town. when we got reached nearly to the top, Cyrus sat back on his back legs and lifted his face up to the evening sky and howled. we looked down at the pack in the distance. Pack members were still coming and going. Young children still running around. Up here the air was clean and fresh, there was a gentle breeze blowing through Cyrus fur. "It's peaceful now." Cyrus said. "Yeah it is bud." "Remember when we brought Jayla up here? we came here many nights to look at the stars." I didn't say much as memories with Jayla crept into my mind. The first time we came up here was when she was 15 years old. I brought her up here after she had an argument with her parents. we laid on the floor looking at the stars in the night sky. We talked and talked till late. This was infact our favourite spot. This was the place I had asked her to be my chosen. Cyrus handed me back the control and we shifted. I walked over to the box that I had stored here with some shorts in it. I took a pair and pulled them on. Everything flooded back of Jayla. I missed her. I missed us. I missed the way we would play pranks, missed the way she would scrunch up her face when I made fun of her. Missed seeing her eyes narrowed when she got angry. I missed her. Those times seemed easier and there was no drama. "I miss Azalea." as I watched Cyrus lower his head. I sighed deeply and closed my eyes. I watched the moon rise and the stars came out in full. Where was she? I wanted her to come back. "I miss them to bud. But right now we should head back." "Do we have to?" "Yeah bud we do." Cyrus pushed forward and shifted shredding the shorts in the process. we headed down the mountain dude and ran back home. But nothing could of prepared me for what I saw when I pushed open the main doors. There infront of me was Lily and an a omega kneeling on the floor being whipped by no other than Brianna. I looked around and saw the lounge completely trashed. The poor girl was bloodied and tears were streaming down her face. My anger rose. "STOP RIGHT NOW." I bellowed. Brianna stopped mid air the whip hanging in the air. I stormed over and helped the omega stand. I handed her over to the head housekeeper Mrs. Anderson and told her to take the omega back to her room and call the pack doctor over. I turned slowly, anger still visible on my face. "Brianna. What the hell is the meaning of this?" "I was disciplining my servant. You dont have the right to bring this up. You've embarrassed me." "The hell I dont." I stood there and looked around to the pack members and omegas who was standing around watching. With one look to them all they all went along with their own business. I looked at Brianna and her face was bright red and twisted in rage. I took hold of her arm and walked fast to my office. Brianna started screaming and shouting as I pulled her down the hallway. once we got into my office I pushed her down onto the couch by the window. She sat up quickly eyes glaring at me, her fists clenched. " You know, if it were Jayla, she wouldn't of done that. Jayla is kind and caring she always treated everyone with care and respect. But I knew there was something off with this woman." "OK, hush it, I don't want to fight you to." "I'm only saying that's all." Cyrus huffed and went back to lay down. Brianna was still glaring at me. I took a deep breath. "Why was you punishing her?" "I punished that omega b***h because she talked back to me." "Is that all? What did she say?" "It's not important." she crossed her arms infront of her chest. My temper was slowly rising. Brianna stood there with her hands clenched. By this time my head was pounding. It didn't help with Cyrus pacing around in my head. The lack of respect from Brianna was bringing my irritation to a new level of high. But more over it was the total lack of respect towards others. I was just about to say something when a sting landed on my left cheek. I just stood there shocked and dumb founded. "Did she just slap me?" I mumbled to Cyrus. Cyrus pushed forward his eyes blazing. Pure instinct tight now he wanted to pounce. My breathing became ragged and my chest rose and fell rapidly, each breath I took was uneven. Brianna stepped back and stared at me, her eyes never left mine which pissed us off even more. She was trying to challenge our authority, go against her Alpha. "Hell no," Cyrus pushed all the way through, shifted on the spot. He looked down at Brianna, teeth bearing, lips curled up. He pushed me right to the back, all I could was watch.
