I knew that Bryan and Amy would get the back lash of Jayla's actions. I had to think about this in more depth. The last thing I wanted was for trouble from their pack causing Jayla distress and putting her in any sort of danger.

I shouted for Femi and just like always he appeared right beside me.

"Femi, find out what you can on the Green Forest Pack Alpha. I want to know exactly what happened to Jayla."

"On it Alpha." with that Femi disappeared as quickly as he had arrived.

I walked over to the window and stared out watching everything going on outside.

Kids were playing, horses were being ridden, laughter and running around. pack members walking and smiling. This life was quiet. We never really had any problems with rogues and mostly we were left alone. That was the beauty of this place. We now had a 1000 acres and this was a good life. I had my businesses that brought money in to help sustain the pack. Pack members worked some farming land to help contribute towards the pack. They were paid a monthly wage. Life was pretty good.

I decided to go and check on Jayla, I told the kitchen staff to prepare some small dishes for Jayla. I went into the kitchen and grabbed some water and a sandwich to take up to her.

I took the stairs and made it up to my room. I knocked gently and opened the door. Jayla was still out of it and her parents were sitting either side of the bed. When I entered they both look towards me. I walked over and put down the water and sandwich.

"how is she doing?"

"No change Alpha, But we hope she will wake soon."

I gave a nod and turned to leave. I closed the door gently behind me and made my way back down to my study. I had just took the last step down when Femi came in threw the main door. He looked at me and walked towards me.

"Alpha, I have some intel that you wanted."

"Come with me." we walked straight to the study.

Femi sat down and laid down a file infront of me.

"As you can see Alpha, Jayla had a pretty good life growing up. Both her parents are top warriors infact their the best the pack has.

Jayla and the alpha along with the Beta and Gamma all grew up together, families were close. Nothing much out of the ordinary really, typical scenerio really grew up together formed a relationship later on after he coming of age. They are not mates but they chose each other. Now while Alpha Jace was away at a Alpha summit he met his supposed fated mate. Brianna she's the daughter of Alpha Alex of The Midnight Pack. Now from I can find out but not sure how true it is, Brianna has always had a thing for Jace. Always jealous and anvious of how close Jayla and Jace were,"

"Ok. But doesn't Midnight Pack associate themselves with witches?"

"Yes Alpha,"

"Ok, carry on".

"Well Brianna was at the Alpha Summit, there she and Alpha Jace became fated mates. But here is the interesting thing. One of our pack members has a relative in Jace's pack. Ive spoken to her. Aparently since Brianna has been in the pack she doesn't do a thing. Nothing, no luna duties, they said she can be cruel. All she wants to do is shop and spend money. Jace and Brianna has been seen screaming at each other on a daily basis. Always throwing Jayla's name to him all the time."

"I see, Ok well keep looking try to find something, anything really."

"Alpha, there is one more thing."

"What is it?"

"Jayla's parent's. It's been heard that Jace is going to arrest them both for treason on the return. I really think you need to inform them just to be safe."

"I'll talk to them,"

"Uh how is Jayla? any update?"

I shook my head. "No nothing has changed as of yet."

"I'll get going Alpha."

Femi stood, bowed and turned to leave. I sat back down in my chair and stared ahead.

"What do you think Knox?" Knox pushed forward.

"Witches Jerry, bad news. If anything happens to her parents."

"I know, I'll talk to them."

It was then that I decided to allow Amy and Bryan to stay if they wanted. I pulled out the paperwork from the drawer and started to fill in what I could. I called for one of the Omega's and asked them to tell Jayla's parents that I needed to talk with them.

I sat in my study waiting for them when there was a knock on the door. They entered and I gestured for them to both sit.

"Amy, Bryan thank you for coming. I wanted to let you know that I am offering you both a place in my pack if that is still what you want."

"Thank you Alpha."

"I was thinking that as you are both warriors, we could do with your help training the teenagers in the pack. But I would like to just say, I have heard through some chanels that Alpha Jace has put out an order for both of your captures. Now as it stands unless you break with pack bond with your old pack, if he comes here he has every right to take you."

"Yes Alpha we know."

"So if you would like to stand up and break the pack connection with your old pack, I will swear you in imediately."

I stood there and watched Amy and Bryan break the pack bond with their old pack. I swore them in immediately. After the connection was made to the pack and they accepted me as their Alpha I told femi to arrange quarters for them. To help get them anything that they would need. Only due to the fact that they had nothing with them, as they had left most of their belongings back in the New Forest Pack.

A young maid ran into my study out of breath. My head snapped towards her.

"A..a Alpha, the young miss is awake."

I ran out through the door and up the stairs taking 3 steps at a time till I reached the top. I was anxious and scared and I didn't know why. I got to the bedroom door and stood there not daring to open it. I put my hand on the door handle and went to open it but the door opened and I stood there staring at Jayla.

"Uhm hi there."

"Alpha," she replied and lowered her head. Her hand automatically went onto her stomach.

"Why are you out of bed Jayla? you need rest."

"I uh was hungry Alpha I wanted to find something to eat."

"Not a problem, please get back into bed, i'll get the doctor to come check on you and arrange for some food to be brought up to the room."

"T ..thank you Alpha."

She turned and slowly walked back to the bed. Knox suddenly pushed slightly forward and smirked.But as always he had something to say.

"Huff well you could of helped her back to the bed dumbass."

"Shut up Knox."

"Well you could of help you know, you let her walk back on her own, what if she fell?"

My eyes widened as what he said was true. What if she did fall?
