“Hall, get your P.A special squad ready!. The war will soon start and we need the most outstanding of them all. You know what you have to do to get the best of them!” A cold voice instructed. . . ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Perverted Academy ~ ~ ~ ~ “Welcome to my Class!” Mrs Albert Hall welcomed the students. “Thank you, Mrs Albert” the students gaily answered as Mrs Halls turned to the board. “How to get away with murder!” the slamming sound of the chalk on the board resonated in the hushed room as Mrs Alberta Hall wrote the rubric on the board. Students began to murmur as soon as they read the topic from the board. Though, complete silence resided in the class as soon as Mrs Halls spun back to them. They all sat up keen, with their stares fixed at her. “Getting away with murder is very important especially in the human world, here we have no issues with killing” she malicious grinned and it was more depressing than appealing. Then she continued “Humans easily get frightened by Phenomena greater than their understanding and thus to co-habitat with them, you dare not scare them. Once they get frightened they become hostile. And Once they are hostile they lose their humanity. Never underestimate the anger of a human” she strolled with her stick around her desk as she firmly enunciated. Then she began to walk in-between aligned lockers getting support from her stick. She wasn't that old but she supported herself on a stick like an old grandmother in her early one hundred years. “For those aspiring to be members of the P.A special squad, your ability to get rid of murder will be a great determining factor of your success!” she recklessly whacked her stick on Nadia’s locker. Nadia shuddered at the bang with some freeze, chill going down her spine and her stare broadened in panic. While Mrs Halls walked away like she did nothing. Students began to smile at the mention of “P.A special squad” as if it was something special. While Nadia was still, petrified about the topic of the day and Mrs Hall’s weird reaction, several doubts ran through her mind “Where am I? Why will someone have to kill in the first place? Why is Mrs Hall so hostile?”. Miss Helana always told her “Killing is a sin, Nadia” she felt Miss Helena’s voice roaming her mind. “They’re rules in killing in contrary to what must of you think. In the human world; -never kill in public, - don't kill in anger, only kill when your life is at stake this will prevent you from too much drama and attention from the police- Study your environment and know where and when to kill. You need to find a place far away from all eyes” Mrs Halls elucidated with vigour. One could notice the readiness in Luther’s eyes. He kept on grinding malicious at Mrs Hall’s every word. Contrary to all his classmates Luther was more versed with the act of killing. As Mrs Halls swivelled to the board. Luther recklessly whirled his glance at Nadia and their stares met. He softly smiled at her licking his lower lip with his wet tongue. He smiled to ease Nadia who seemed troubled. Instead, he ended up depressing her more with his fierce look. Just when Nadia was about to take her glance off Luther, Emily veered her stare around and she caught them staring at each other and the look on Emily’s face instantly switched into a more bitter one. She bitterly frowned with her fists clenched so tight that her nails slightly slashed her palms. Then, Emily drew a long horizontal line on her neck with her fingertip, her stare fixed on Nadia “I’ll kill you!” Emily murmured. Nadia immediately faced the board shivering with her heart pounding. She got lost in her thoughts and she began to picture her dead in several ways and this was torture. In just a few minutes she was all sweaty. “Nadia, Nadia!” Mrs Halls called her severally to no avail though she was fixing the damn board. “Will you answer!” Mrs Halls carelessly stroked her on the back with her stick. This painful bang brutally snatched Nadia off her deepest thought which was already making her suffer. She couldn't help but cry with the additional pain. Though she managed to make no sound, tears helplessly flew through her soft but in pain, eyes. She felt something breaking in her. Some discretely murmured in mockery, especially Emily, Marcus Luther’s best friend but for the first time, Luther didn't find it funny. Carelessly, he whirled his stare which met that of Marcus busily laughing, Luther sulked in disappointment and Marcus instantly stopped laughing when his stare met that of Luther. Emily got annoyed by Luther’s unexpected strange reaction toward Nadia and she couldn't help but hate Nadia more. “Silence!” Mrs Hall banged Nadia’s locker and the class instantly became dead silent. While Nadia couldn't stop twitching and Mrs Hall’s fierce glance was fixed on her. This rendered her sick and agitated. “Nadia, can you tell the classmates and me, what you've learned today before this class session ends!” Mrs Halls gently sauntered back to her desk and the bell jingled, making the end of their class. Nadia puffed in relief at the sound of the bell. I don't think she had ever appreciated that sound as she did at that moment. “You will say it during our next class!. It's your assignment!” Mrs Halls carried her bag and walked out of the class. Nadia leaned back on her chair in relief. The class was getting empty as the students walked out one by one until no one was left but only her in the class. Then Nadia stood up to leave “Sorry for the stroke!” this deep voice hit her from behind just when she thought she was the only one left in class. She forthwith turned to see who it was although she could guess already “What are you doing?” she exclaimed in disgust when she saw who it was. He hurriedly walked to her and he tried to clench her hand but she flinched “I don't know what you're doing or what you're playing at but count me out of it. Don't you ever come to me again, if you can't talk or fight for me in public!. You bastard!” she scolded him with so much bitterness as she fumed in anger. “You can't understand, Nad. It's way more complicated than what you think.” he gently gripped her hand and she let him do “Do you remember how I use to fight for you in the past?” he softly grinned and his handsome face and alluring brown eyes rendered her vulnerable. He continued “But now things are way more complicated than in the past and a lot is at stake. If things were different I would have fought for you and stood by you!” he caressed her soft jaw with one of his hands. She flinched off his grip “Go to hell Demond!. We always fight for those who are dear to us. Now, I know where your loyalty sinks, so spare me your crap!” she got nasty like never before like every single word from his mouth seemed to annoy her “Avoid me!” these were her last words before she walked out of him. “Nad, Nadia!” he screamed her name in a low tone but she walked away without turning to him even for a second. She couldn't infer what was going over him and she was surely not ready for all his useless hide and seek games. As if the trauma wasn't enough already. She walked straight to the canteen where all the others were. She still felt pain in her back. . . In the canteen, Nadia picked up her tray of food from the canteen woman or cooks. She carefully watched out for her footsteps this time as she strolled in search of a sit. Everywhere she stopped to perch, she was steered away. Some even halted her from a distance. The only seat that she found empty was that besides the trash can and Madine has perched there already. The last time she checked she was so wild and impolite to Madine. So she didn't want to seat by her since guilt was simmering her. Yet, she has no choice and it was the only seat left. It was either she sits by the trash can with Madine and eats or she remains standing up and eating and eating while standing in a canteen where everyone was seated was damn weird, and calling for unnecessary attention was the last thing Nadia wished for at that moment. As soon as Nadia sat, Madine stood up with her tray to leave.
