*TAE* "What's wrong Tae-Tae?" I could feel his distress as I knew he could feel my pain. "Nothing Jakey. I'm heading home go back in there and have fun. You deserve it." I tried to sound happy and kept walking. "No. Taelyn Yanely, tell me what happened." Jake stopped me embracing me in a tight hug. My eyes betrayed me as tear after tear glide down my cheeks. "My m-m-mate rejec-c-cted me." I sobbed into his chest sensing his rigidness. "Who's the bastard?" He growled. "Just leave it, Jakey I want to go home." He carried me to our parents' house as I didn't want to speak he discarded the interrogation. We changed into comfortable clothes as soon as we got home and he tried to soothe me until I dozed off. A couple of hours later an intense pain jerked me up. I clutched my chest tightly in my hand. f*****g hell that oaf is marking and mating with that skank. It's done whatever love was left in me for him, he threw it out the window. He can go to hell for all I care. "What's wrong Tae?" Jake hugged me tightly. I felt the last ounce of the pull vanishing although not before I perceived his enjoyment of f*****g that dimwit. "I'm okay Jakey, it was just a nightmare. Let's go back to sleep." I gave him a weary smile. She could keep him clearly they belong together it's out of my knowledge as how I was bonded to him by fate. He clearly deserved Bethany they were made for one another. The next morning I didn't eat or left my room. Adanely, Jadiel, my parents and Nic tried to get me to tell them what happened, but I couldn't and I didn't say a word. I had asked Jake not to say anything he hesitated, but then obliged. The next few days I would only get up from my bed to shower a part of me felt dead. My wolf whimpered and howled in pain it hurt me so much to not be able to do something to help her. Jake forced me to eat fruit at least as I couldn't keep anything down. Someone barged into my room, I had no will to see who it was. "Tae, Axel took over the Alpha position and wants to talk to you." Jadiel said from the door. I snapped my gaze in his direction and glared at him. What does that oaf want now? "Fine. What time?" I asked in a monotone voice. "Now would be better." I nodded, getting up from my bed to grab some jeans and a shirt. After I changed in the bathroom I threw my hair into a messy bun and rinsed my face quickly. If they couldn't tell from my attitude towards our Alpha then I must be a great actress or they are to inattentive to what is going around them.  "Let's get this over with." I walked right passed him and down the stairs. Jake wasn't home and my parents were at work. Stepping outside the house I saw Jadiel's car in front of the house, I went straight to the car and got into the passenger's seat staring out the window. Too soon for my own liking, we arrived at the pack's house everyone was gazing at me as they haven't seen me in a couple of days, which was abnormal, but I didn't really pay attention to anyone or anything until we were outside the Alpha's office. Jadiel knocked. "Come in." I heard his husky voice from the other side of the door. Jadiel opened the door and we walked inside. "She's here Alpha." Jadiel dragged me to the seat in front of Axel and his gaze locked with mine, I narrowed my eyes at him then looked away. "Good, now let me talk to her alone." Axel ordered and Jadiel nodded, leaving, closing the door behind him. If he only knew he wouldn't have left me alone with him. "Please sit." Axel pointed at the seat in front of him and I obliged. "I wanted to talk about what happened at the party?" He said and I only huffed at the nerve he has. "What happened, Alpha?" I inquired. "There is nothing to say." I said bluntly. "I'm really sorry, but I do love Bethany." He apologized, although those last words felt like a dagger going through my heart. I swallowed to abate the lump that had formed in my throat. "Alpha, I don't care. It's done, I'll continue with my life as I did before like it never happened." I said assertively. "Tae. I-" I cut him off before he could continue. "Don't call me like that." I hissed. "Only people who care for me and love me can call me like that." I snarled at him. "Anyhow, I would like to train with the warriors to become one of them." I said raising an eyebrow. "I don't know. I can't let you get hurt." He stared at me dumbfounded. "I know that I am capable of achieving it, Alpha." I could clearly see his irritation as I used the Alpha title. "Are you sure?" He asked cautiously with a blank expression. "Yes, Alpha, you don't need to pretend to be concerned." I arched an eyebrow. "Also, I know that Jake wants this too, so I would like to ask on his behalf." I tried to keep everything to the point. "Of course, if that's what you two want." He confirmed. "Yes. Now pertaining to the other topic I wish to keep our encounters and conversations work related, only." I declared coldly. "I don't know if I can promise you that." He murmured. Seriously how can he say s**t like that? "Don't worry I know that the Luna will keep you occupied and I'll make sure to stay out of your way, Alpha. I'll keep it professional all the time. Wish you all the happiness of the world." I bowed my head and headed towards the door when suddenly I was pulled into his chest. "Let go of me." I hissed. "You're still my mate." He did not say that I could feel my blood boiling. "No I'm not you rejected me so you lost that privilege." I shoved him away rushing out the room rapidly. I noticed Jake as he leaned against his Jeep. "Tae, what happened? I could feel your anger, it was insane." He asked agitated. "Nothing I just asked the Alpha if I could train with the warriors and he said yes." I said joyfully trying to dismiss his question. "What about me?" He pouted causing me to roll my eyes at his cuteness. "Sorry Jakey he said you can't." I said, biting my lip, trying to suppress my smile when I heard someone groan yet I ignored it as I knew it was Axel. "What? Why not? I need to speak with him." He began striding towards the door and I jumped onto his back laughing. "I'm kidding Jakey, he said yes." I pecked his cheek. "Now let's go home because we begin tomorrow at 5 am." I smiled. My smile was as wide as the smile of a boy opening gifts on Christmas. "You are rude Taelyn." Jake said, causing me to giggle at his childish behavior. As soon as we got home, we gathered everyone to give them the good news. "Congratulations kiddos." Our father hugged us. "Taelyn, you can't be serious." My mother wasn't so keen about it. "Why not mom? I can and want to do this?" I said sourly. I played a game intended only for men and I was absolutely marvelous at it so why can't I become a warrior? "Because you are a young lady." Well that's sexist. "Honey, let her do this. I know she is skillful enough to overpower any warrior even a beta." My father tried to calm her down. "I'm very happy sis." Jadiel spun me around and when he put me down he turned to Jake. "You are finally going to do some manly shit." Jadiel teased Jake. "Screw you Jadiel." Jake glared at him. "I'm going to have a kick-ass sister," Adanely jumped around the living room. "Adanely Gabrielle Marquez, language." My mother scolded her and I smirked at her. "Tae we need to catch up." Nick grinned at me. Oh s**t I'm dead. "I realized that, come on let's go to my room." I grabbed her hand dragging her to my room. Once we were inside I closed the door and motion her to sit on my bed. "What happened at the party, Tae?" She stared at me with her big blue eyes asking the dreaded question I kept avoiding. "My mate rejected me. He kissed me first coming in like a f*****g tornado as he kissed me only to reject me afterwards." I said, then let out a miserable sigh. "What...Who...Why...That jerk." She exclaimed, furiously. "If I tell you promise me you won't tell anyone, especially not my brother." I said solemnly. "I middle finger promise, babe." She impatiently said. "It's Axel our Alpha." I let out a breath. "Asshole. Why did he reject you?" She asked antsy. "Because I'm Jadiel's sister and because he loves Bethany. According to him, he can't leave her after 3 years of relationship for his mate." I whispered the last part of the sentence. "Bastard, he doesn't deserve you baby girl, you deserve someone way better." She hugged me tightly and I sobbed against her shoulder. "Yea, now I'll be a warrior. I'll show him I can move on and be happier than he'll ever be." I said confidently. I'll prove to him that his rejection didn't hurt and I'm way better without him.
