Chapter 3

2 Weeks Later*

"What the f**k?" I jerked up as soon as I felt someone's hand pulling me. The next thing I savvy I'm dragged off my bed and onto the floor with a loud thud. "Omph." Splendid that's going to bruise for a few hours. I might be slim, yet falling from the bed entails a grand elevation. Once I focused my gaze on the person responsible for waking me up in such manner I noticed two people, Jadiel and Nicole smirking. Nicole is my best friend since we were in diapers she actually turned 18, two months ago, she found her mate that same day whom happens to be my brother. Fabulous I get to see them make out every day. Gross. I glared at them nonetheless, my gaze fixed on Jake as he was standing at the door with pain written all over his face feeling my pain.

"You guys' are going to pay for that." I stated quite astonished as they ran out of the room yelling Happy Birthday. "Happy birthday Jakey." I got off the floor running towards him jumping on him in the process locking my legs around his waist. Jake is about 6'2 and I'm 5'3 yea big difference. While he's tall and muscular I'm thin and small framed which deceives many as I proudly sport a 6-pack. I'm quite strong sometimes even as strong as my brothers. It was Saturday, once I glanced out the window it was still dark outside. Wait. What time is it? 5:30 am. What the hell it's too damn early. Then I heard cracking noises, seriously this early? I grabbed Jake's hand and quickly ran down the stairs calling out for Jadiel at the same time. Once outside I felt pain running throughout my body. They said it was going to hurt nonetheless, I never expect it to hurt this much. I tried to hold back all the yelps of pain to not wake up my parents or sister. It seemed like forever when it finally stopped though I didn't want to open my eyes. I heard someone gasp, damn, am I that ugly? Jake mind-linked me.

"Open your eyes, Tae." He sounded excited. "It's okay." He assured me as soon as I obliged I was able to see everything more clearly, Jake standing in front of me. His wolf was black his eyes green as always and that mutt licked me.

"Ewww, Jakey that was gross." I whined through the link and I heard him chuckle.

"You're beautiful." Nic exclaimed, although I know she's probably lying.

'Don't doubt it, we are beautiful indeed.' My wolf informed me cheerfully. 'What's your name?' 'Ava, I finally get to meet you.' 'Likewise we are going to be great partners in crime.' 'Go look at yourself now.' I did as my wolf said heading to the nearest pond as the beautiful bright moon illuminated our surroundings from high up on the sky. I was able to see my reflection on the water clearly. I was a stunning, elegant shade of grey that sparkle under the moonlight which contrasted with my bluish-greenish eyes. Wow. 'We are beautiful.' My wolf's smug face brought me out of my trance. 'Yes we are.' 'Cocky much are we?' I chuckled.

"Are you done talking to your wolf?" Jake asked bored.

"Yes, don't hate simply because yours doesn't fancy you." I teased him playfully. "Anyways, I'm tired can we get some clothes to change back?" I turned to look at Jadiel and Nic.

"Yes, we'll be right back." They answered rapidly.

After my so much needed nap, I finally woke up, glancing at the clock it was noon already. As I made my way downstairs, my parents were sitting on the stools in the kitchen. "Hey lazy birthday girl." My mother beamed at me. "Happy birthday baby." She hugged me tightly.

"Thank you mom, I'm hungry." I replied as I stretched.

"Happy birthday princess." My father hugged me and gave my cheek a quick peck. "What do you say if we go outside so you can see your present?" My father grabbed my hand dragging me out of the house. Well who's on fire? When we made it to the garage a black and silver 2015 Ford F-150 4x4 came into view.

"Holy mother of Jesus." I said after I squealed. "Thank you guys so much. I love you, you're the best." I said hugging them again. "Where are Jake and Jadiel?" I asked curiously.

"They went to go test Jake's new car." My mom answered stultify yea she's not into cars as you can tell.

"What car did he get?" I asked agog.

"A grey and black 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys Wheeler W 4x4." My father replied thrilled.

"Adanely and Nic are watching a movie in the theater room." You can say we are rich although we are not your snobby rich kids.

"Awesome, I'll go get them so we can ride my baby." I said euphorically. I ran up the stairs into my room to shower quick getting dressed as fast as I could. I let my black hair dry naturally it contrasted with my light skin. Taking a last glance at myself in the mirror, I was content with how I looked. Black ripped skinny jeans and a Fall Out Boy shirt not forgetting my black vans. Clutching my phone and my new set of keys I ran to the theater room.

"Boo." I barged into the room.

"Aaaah." Both Adanely and Nic jumped from the couch.

"Bitch." Nic glared at me, I smirked smugly at her.

"Tae-Tae you are rude." Adanely whined.

"Oh come on you big babies let's go out to eat and take my baby Godzi for a ride." I exclaimed with a huge smile.

"Who?" They both ask in unison.

"My new truck I named it Godzilla so Godzi." I explained irritated as they had a blank expression. "Come on guys today not tomorrow." I helped them off the couch.

"So are you ready for the party tonight?" Nic asked, nudging my arm, causing me to groan. I was driving my new baby and the last thing in my mind was that damn party.

"I totally forgot about the party. I don't really want to go." I whined.

"It's party for you and Jake." She stated "You know that if you don't go he won't go." She has a point though.

"I guess I can sacrifice myself this one time." I complied forcefully. "Now let's eat because I'm hungry." As soon as we got off I ran into the dining room, taking a seat on the first unoccupied booth with Adanely and Nic sitting across from me. After ordering our drinks the waiter left.

"Look who has a secret admirer." Adanely teased me.

"Shush it, Adanely Gabrielle." I glared at her.

"Well hello girls." Jake tried to flirt with us I just rolled my eyes at him. "What? Only the waiter can flirt with you guys?" He replied mocking hurt.

"Yea, yea, keep it up." I responded as Jake sat next to me with his arm over my shoulder while Jadiel was sitting next to Nicole.

"Hey babe." Jadiel pecked Nic. Ewww.

"Guys I don't want to barf my breakfast before eating it." I playfully narrowed my eyes at them. As the waiter came back, he glared at Jake. After eating and taking our time we decided to head back home to get ready for the damn party.

"I want to go." Adanely kept insisting.

"Adanely, we've talked about this you can't go mommas. Mom won't let you." I replied, defeated causing her to huff storming out of my room. I began styling my hair curling only the ends once I curled the last strands that reach my lower back I noticed I had an hour left to finish getting ready and Nicole came into my room.

"Let me do your make-up." Nicky said, not giving me a chance to protest. "What are you going to wear?" She questioned arching an eyebrow.

"I don't know yet." I responded and she instantly went through the clothes coming back out with a black dress and a purple dress.

"Here try them on quickly to see which one fits better." She handed me the dresses as I headed to the bathroom trying the purple dress first. "Hmmm, no not that one. Next." She shooed me back into the bathroom. Taking off the dress and sliding on the black one I walked out of the bathroom annoyed.

"Yes." Nic gasped. "That one." She said with a grin. "Your mate is going to go bonkers over you." She blabbered ecstatic and began applying the make-up. After she was done, I stepped on my nude pumps then we went downstairs and noticed that the boys were waiting for us. Jadiel decided to drive his Lexus. Nearing the party, we were able to hear the music as people were drinking and dancing. Some came up to us as soon as we stepped out the car congratulating us for our birthday.

Two hours later I've danced with all my friends having a blast and my throat was dry as the Sahara desert. Walking towards the kitchen I caught a mouthwatering smell of rain and woods. 'Mate' my wolf exclaimed. When I was going to round the corner I bumped into someone. Instantaneously I felt someone's hands around my waist sparks running through my body and felt a burning sensation wherever his hands roamed. I was pressed between his chest and the wall while his lips left open mouth kisses on my neck. Every single touch caused my body to shudder as he kissed my jaw line then my lips again. Freaking s**t he tastes so divine. When we finally pulled away to catch some air, he lowered his lips towards the place where I would wear his mark. I felt his canines scraping my skin I knew that I had to stop him before he marked me. With all the strength I could muster, I pushed him away from me as I opened my eyes that had closed on their own and our gaze locked. 'Mate' he mutter, then I noticed it was Axel. No, no, no this can't be happening to me.

"Tae." He gasped. "This can't be." He said.

"Why?" I asked angrily. I'm his f*****g mate for god's sake.

"Because you are Jadiel's sister and I'm dating Bethany, whom I love. We've been together for 3 years I can't just break up with her." He said.

"So? I'm your one and only true mate. You're supposed to be mine, not hers." I was getting more pissed off.

"I'm sorry, we can't." He whispered.

"Wonderful, say the words to get this over with." I said.

"I, Axel Everill, future Alpha of the Silvermoon pack reject you, Taelyn Yanely Marquez as my mate and Luna." He said as firm as the ground I was standing on, my heart shattering into millions of pieces. The pain was unbearable it couldn't be compared to anything else and tears blurred my vision.

"I, Taelyn Yanely Marquez, accept and reject you back, Axel Everill as my mate." I said confidently after I recollected myself. I turned on my heel leaving him there with his mouth agape. As soon as I stepped a foot outside the house Jacob was by my side.

I've been searching for my mate over 6 years and till this date I've had no luck in finding her. I gave up three years ago when I began dating Bethany. I know what I'm getting myself into she's not the best she-wolf to establish a relationship with as more than half of the unmated wolves have slept with her but she has remained by my side all these years. I have not marked her still expecting to find my mate soon, although if I do find her I don't know what I would do. There is a party at the pack house in honor of Tae's and Jake's birthday they are turning 18 expectantly that they will mature and quit their childish behavior. 'Mate.' My wolf howled. I hasten my pace following the delicious smell of strawberries and chocolate. I continued my quest in locating my mate when rounding a corner, I smashed into someone as I held them by the waist I felt those knowingly sparks that I've been notified about. I pressed her between the wall and my chest in order for her not to flee. I began leaving open mouth kisses on her neck, moreover her scent was so intoxicating and addicting. Kissing up to her jawline causing her to shudder as my wolf was howling in excitement trying to restrain him in order not to mark her. As I fought my wolf for control was becoming extremely difficult he had been denied the attention from his mate all these years.

I kissed her lips again, goddess, her taste was so enticing I couldn't have enough. Pulling away was never an option but we needed oxygen instead I moved to where she should wear my mark kissing and nipping it as my canines scraped her delicate skin. She shoved me away from her as our gaze locked and my lust faded away I recognized her. "Tae." f**k. Why her? She's my best friend's little sister. What am I going to do? I can't be with her. "This can't be."

"Why?" She asked angrily after masking her hurt expression.

"Because you are Jadiel's sister and I'm dating Bethany, whom I love." I explained as sincerely as I could. "We've been together for 3 years I can't just break up with her." Fate is so unpredictable bonding me to an immature girl.

"So? I'm your one and only true mate. You're supposed to be mine not hers." She said irked.

"I'm sorry we can't." I murmured.

"Wonderful, say the words to get this over with." She said calmly.

"I, Axel Everill, future Alpha of the Silvermoon pack reject you, Taelyn Yanely Marquez as my mate and Luna." My wolf growled and roared at me but I pushed him to the back of my head. It's for our own good and the packs good they need a level headed responsible Luna.

"I, Taelyn Yanely Marquez, accept and reject you back, Axel Everill as my mate." I never expected for her to sound so confident and calm as if she was not affected by it. When she was done, she turned on her heel leaving me there with my mouth wide opened. 'It's all your fault.' 'Shut up it needed to be done.' 'Says who?' 'I do. She isn't competent enough to be our Luna' 'You are a dimwit.' 'Shush it you mutt.' 'I'm part of you, you twat.' And with that he didn't talk to me for the rest of the night. After the mate incident, I didn't see Jake or Taelyn anymore, no surprise there they are always beside each other. I had decided that tonight I'll mark and mate with Bethany so she could become the Luna and that way Tae can move on.
