The Warrior

Chapter 6

I was walking down the hall to the kitchen at night when I heard the floor creak. Immediately my senses took full control and I was waiting for someone to attack. What I didn't expect was to be ambushed by none other than my ex mate and Alpha. He covered my mouth with his hand and that's how I knew it was him because I felt whatever is left of the tingles.

"Shhhh." He said. "Its me." Well no s**t fucktard I know that. I tried pushing his hand away, but he wouldn't budge. "If I let you go will you stay still and will not yell?" He asked. I nodded in response as I was unable to speak.

"What is your problem?" I whispered.

"I needed to talk to you. It has been so hard staying away from you knowing you are so close to me and I can't touch you or kiss you." He said. He began to take steps towards me and I backed away until I bumped onto the wall and was cornered. He took another step and had his hands against the wall caging me in. Suddenly I felt his lips against mine and Ava took over responding to the kiss. I tried to make her stop telling her that he is only going to hurt us but she wouldn't listen. 'Ava, stop he is playing us.' 'But his wolf love us.' 'Maybe that's true, but remember he has a mate and a child with her.' I felt Ava whine and I took advantage and gain control again.

"Don't you ever do that again, you're hurting my wolf and I am not going to let you do that." I said. "You have your mate and you need to stop playing with me. You need to stay away like we had talked before." I said.

"I've tried but it's so hard. I need you so much." He said. He caressed my cheek and Ava was trying to take over again, but this time I didn't let her. I heard a thud and knew someone was around listening. I glared at Axel and stormed off ignoring whomever was eavesdropping.

I couldn't take it anymore being there every day and having Axel trying to string me along was getting to me. After last night's events I needed to be more careful. I was in the backyard relaxing on my day off when I heard someone clear their throat. "What are you doing?" I heard that squeaky annoying voice. When I tried to look at her in the eye the sun was making me blind.

"Umm, relaxing on my day off." I said. She didn't like my tone of voice because she used her Luna power to command me to stand up.

"Get up, now." She roared. I obliged because I didn't have another option. "How dare you talk to your Luna that way?" She said. Well because I don't f*****g like you. I shrugged. "I know you are Axel's real mate." She taunted. That caught me off guard and confirmed she was the one eavesdropping last night. "I warn you, stay away from him, he is mine and I'm not going to give up my Luna position that easily."

"I don't want it and I don't want him. Keep him, but make sure you keep him away from me." I said.

"Stop throwing yourself at him." She growled.

"You have it wrong he's the one that keeps coming back, knowing the difference between you and me." I said.

"Don't talk to me like that I'm your Luna." Bethany growled. I saw Jake coming out of the pack house. When I became distracted Bethany used this against me and attacked me. I couldn't respond because she was the Luna and that would not sit well with the Alpha or the rest of the pack members. Suddenly she was yanked off me and I heard Axel's voice telling her to calm down and to explain what had happened. Jake was by my side trying to help me up, but I only groan as I couldn't protect myself. When Bethany was done telling her lies I heard Axel growl. I honestly thought I was going to get murdered right then and there.

"Stop lying Bethany you don't have any scratches or bruises and I was watching you from the window. You attacked her first and like a respectful member she didn't protect herself or responded to your attack." Axel roared.

"Jake, please, let's go." I said. He obliged and took me to our parents' house. There I was questioned by them and a few minutes later I was visited by the Alpha.

"Taelyn, are you okay?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm great. You know after being attacked by the own Luna and not being able to defend myself." I said, sarcastically.

"I apologize for her behavior I don't know what got into her." He said.

"I do know. She was the one eavesdropping last night. Thanks to you she knows that you're my ex mate. You know what, it doesn't matter, I want your permission to leave for a few months to be able to recover and give your mate some time to steam off." I said. He didn't like the idea, but he had to give me permission. I told my family and they didn't like the idea either, but I couldn't take the Luna's assault for too long before I retorted and get myself killed. Jake insisted on going with me and I couldn't say no to him. We left to a beautiful resort on the other side of the world. When Axel found out he almost tied me down to something, but at the end, we left and now I am relaxing near the beach with my wonderful brother.

*2 years Later*

"Get up, Tae, now." Jake exclaimed.

"What the hell Jakey." I felt as if my eyes were going to pop out of my sockets.

"We have to go outside to patrol an Alpha is going to be visiting and they want us to be around just in case." Damn not even on my day off I get to sleep in. What alpha decides to visit on a Sunday? It has been a few weeks since we came back from the trip I had gone with Jake and I was not happy about waking up so early. I had turned 22 not too long ago and honestly, I wasn't expecting to find someone to spend the rest of my life with and have a beautiful family.

"Fine, let me change really quickly." I got off the bed. He left my room, leaving me to change into some ripped skinny jeans and a tank top throwing on some grey vans. I ran down the stairs after grabbing my phone on my way out. When we came back we continued being the strongest Lycans in the pack so we were able to keep our position as warriors.

"Hurry, Tae." Jake yelled from the door.

"I'm going." I shout as I made it to the door. It was still dark glancing at the time on my phone it was still 6 and the Alpha will be getting here at 8 couldn't they let me sleep an extra hour. Ugh.

"Okay now that we are all here let's get ready." Diesel said, as he stared at me. "An Alpha will be visiting Alpha Axel today we don't know his real intentions so we have to be prepared in case they decide to attack us." Diesel addressed in full lead warrior's voice. "I'll be assigning you a place to guard we don't want to make it that obvious either." He began assigning everyone around the land. "Jake and Tae you'll be guarding the front along with me." While we waited, we joked and gossiped, I swear sometimes I think I am speaking with females. At 8 am sharp a black lustrous Tahoe pulled up to the curb the Alpha and Bethany were waiting outside both with a smug smile.

When the visiting Alpha stepped off the SUV and locked his eyes with Bethany he had a disgusted face. I couldn't hold back the chuckle that escaped my mouth and he turned to glare at me, causing me to sober up, but as soon as our gaze locked his eyes soften. We didn't stop staring at each other, he was one sexy man Channing Tatum had nothing on him. My wolf began to howl in excitement at his presence. Three guys followed him and he began walking a smell hit my nose. No, not again. 'Mate.' Ava exclaimed delighted nonetheless it came out more of a whisper from my lips. His eyes were undressing me shamelessly and I saw him smirk. He walked towards me and I bowed my head.

"We will speak after my meeting with the Alpha." He whispered so I could only hear him causing me to gulp. Holy s**t another rejection. Axel glared at the Alpha and then fixed his gaze on me.

*EDEN*

I wish I didn't have to go to that stupid pup's house again, but he wanted to meet with me again to ask for some assistance. Here I am on my way to the Alpha's territory at 5 am to be there at 8 am with my beta, gamma, and best friend. The ride was intense, I usually don't leave my territory, but apparently they've had some rogue attacks with the biggest attack happening about two years ago where one of his best warriors got hurt severely, which wasn't there when I had to go a couple of months ago. I hate having to go see him and his Luna. I found my mate seven years ago everything was fine, but she thought I was weak nonetheless she was money and power hungry. She never bothered to ask me my full name or the pack I belonged to. She rejected me saying that I was worth nothing supposedly that she deserve better since then I became malicious, ferocious, ruthless, arrogant and never cared for someone else other than my pack and myself. As we neared the territory I noticed there were warriors patrolling all around the territory. "Your reputation precedes you Eden." My brother and beta chuckled as we pulled up to the pack house. Outside were two guys and a girl in a vigilant stance. I shook my head to that pup's lack of trust I guess he was expecting me to attack or cause trouble upon my arrival.

"Well let's get this over." I said, glancing one more time outside and I noticed the Alpha standing firmly at the top of the stairs surrounded by his warriors. I got off of the SUV first and as soon as I did my gaze focused on my ex-mate's hand enlaced with the Alpha's I couldn't help but feel disgusted by her then I heard someone chuckle as I turned to see who it came from it was from the beautiful girl standing in between two warriors. I was going to glare at her for being disrespectful, but my eyes soften as soon as our gaze locked. I didn't notice Gabriel, Luke, and Tyler get off of the SUV. My wolf began howling insanely. 'Mate' Ryder my wolf roared. No, no, no this can't be happening again. How did I get a second mate as far as I was aware of the topic we only get one? Unless her mate died or she was rejected, which I wouldn't go for the latter as she's too beautiful to be rejected. I began to ogle her shamelessly once she noticed I smirked at her. I walked up to her, causing her breathing to become abnormal and I whisper in her ear for only her to hear. "We will speak after my meeting with the Alpha." As I glanced back at the Alpha he was glaring at me while my ex-mate scowled. Tyler followed me in as my gamma and my best friend Luke stayed outside with the rest. We followed Alpha Axel to his office where his Beta was waiting for us. Bethany left after a young boy calling her momma caught her attention, causing her to huff in annoyance. Thank goddess she didn't stay with me.

"Thank you for coming in such a short notice." The Alpha began to say. "This is my Beta Jadiel Marquez." His Beta bowed in respect. "We have been receiving threats from rogues warning us about future attacks. We had a horrid attack last year at midnight that ended with one of my best warriors, injured critically." I nodded for him to continue. "My father vanished a couple of powerful rogues a few years back that led the rest of the rogues that are trying to attack now. We don't have the exact number of rogues that are planning to attack all we know is that they are not going to be benevolent with us. They are planning to annihilate us until they can take over the territory." I growled, thinking of the possibility that my new mate could be harmed. I stared at the Alpha in front of me he seemed too weak, clearly him and Bethany deserved each other. I wonder what happened to his real mate. 'The Alpha is so pathetic how can he command the third most powerful pack?' Tyler snickered 'I was just thinking that I only feel pity for his pack, especially that warrior that got injured to protect this pack.' I shot back and he agreed with me.

"Very well. I'll be commanding some of my best warriors to assist you with any troubles those rogues my cause. I despise them and probably that is the reason why you decided to call me for support." I arched an eyebrow. "Is that all?" I was in a hurry to go speak to my second chance mate. I needed to hear what she had to say. I know that I'm ruthless, but if I'm being granted a second mate I will not hesitate or waste time.

"Yes tomorrow after training we will speak to all the warriors to inform them about the decisions being made." His Beta finally spoke his voice laced with more determination than the Alpha himself. I nodded and we exit the office. The Alpha excused himself as well as his Beta before I made a clean escape Bethany stopped me.

"Hello, mate." She purred causing repugnance to flow throughout my body.

"I am not your mate. That would have been a mistake if I stayed with you, thank the goddess I was recompensed with a second mate." I glared at her. "You have your choice mate and a child, honor your choice because I don't need you and certainly I don't want you. You and the Alpha deserve each other it's a disgrace you both lead this poor pack." I hissed. So far she has not open her mouth to defend herself. "Anyhow, I need to leave now I have some real important subjects to attend." I smirked smugly and left. As I walked out of the house and was about to walk down the stairs, I noticed my little mate glancing at me and I grinned at her as I began to descend the stairs with a firm posture to convey my barbarousness and powerfulness that caused her to shudder.

"I reckon we have a conversation pending." I smirked to her unwitting reaction as she responded with a nod. "Come let's take a walk." Then I heard growling as I glared at them they bowed their heads.

*TAE*

"What did he tell you?" Jake and Diesel asked simultaneously. Are they twins?

"Are you guys' twins now? Damn you guys are nosy and worse than girls." I banter with them while the Alpha's pack members stayed close by only one of them went in with him. Two hours later only the visiting Alpha came out of the house and we were released. When the visiting Alpha saw me he had a grin as he walked down the stairs with a firm posture that indicated his powerfulness and ruthlessness causing shivers to spread throughout my body.

"I reckon we have a conversation pending." He smirked and I only nodded. "Come let's take a walk." I heard Diesel, Jadiel, and Jake growl. The Alpha turned to glare at them and they bowed their heads. 'It's fine' I mind-link with them and we began walking towards the woods with the Alpha right on my heels. Once we got to a clearing he cleared his throat.

"You must know already that you're my mate." He took my hand in his and I felt those damn sparks again. s**t. Why do I have to go through this again?

"Yes, so if you're going to reject me do it now." I said firmly as I didn't want our bond to get stronger only to have him reject me but then I heard a growl. Soon enough he had me pinned against a tree.

"What's your name?" Oh, f**k here it goes.

"Taelyn Yanely Marquez." I Stutter.

"Well Taelyn why would you say that?" He asked, softly and I cringed when he pronounced my whole name. Well because I've been rejected before, duh.

"You probably don't want me and call me Tae." I said in a monotone voice. He caressed my cheek with his thumb and my eyes closed on their own.

"Tae, I would never do that to you because I know how it feels to get rejected, by the way I'm Eden Isaac Bradshaw." Eden? That's a nice name. Wait did he say that he knew how it feels.

"Yea right don't lie." I simply don't believe it.

"I'm not lying. My mate rejected me because she wanted money and power. What she didn't know was that I was in charge of the most powerful pack so she left me and now she's your Luna." That dimwit.

"Bethany?" I growled. "So that's why you looked at her with disgust?" I said, causing him to chuckle.

"You noticed?" I nodded. "I'm glad she did because now I have you. That's if you don't reject me." He quietly replied. Why would I reject a guy like him?

"No, I went through the rejection as well and I would never do it." I shyly said.

"So you accept me?" His face lit up immediately.

"Not so quick mister." His smile turned into a frown. "I have to feel swept off my feet first." I winked at him and he smiled pecking my cheek.

"You're so beautiful I honestly don't know how that cad of mate that you had could have rejected you." He snarled while his eyes changed color.

"It's okay, thanks to him I met you and I'll have a mate that I deserve." I touched his face to calm him down causing him to groan.

"Ummm, would you like to go on a date with me tonight?" He mumbled bashfully.

"You're so adorable. Who knew that the big bad Alpha could be so timid?" I teased him. "Speaking of, what's the name of your pack?" I asked, inquisitively.

"I am not adorable kittens are adorable, I'm a Lycan and I'm Alpha of the Bloodmoon Pack." He pecked my forehead. Ni-what? Seriously the Bloodmoon pack? "Are you okay?" He asked, fretfully.

"Y-y-yea, I-I-I simply never expected to be the mate of the ruthless Alpha Eden." I said dumfound.

"You're not changing your mind, are you?" He uncomfortably asked.

"No, never." I grin at him. Handsome and strong what else can I ask for? 'Mouthwatering and powerful' Ava corrected me. 'Shush it.' I said. 'You know you want to jump his bones.' 'Stop it.' 'Let's jump him now.' 'No.' 'Yes.' 'Stop. Don't.'

"Are you done with your internal turmoil?" Eden chuckled. Holy s**t. If you only knew that my wolf wants to pounce you. "I don't mind." f**k.

"Did I say that out loud?" I could feel my face heating up.

"Yes you did." Splendid now he's going to think I'm a horny b***h.

"That was my wolf." I said abruptly. 'You know you want to pounce him right this instant.' 'Shut the hell up.'

"Sure your wolf." He poked my sides, making me squeal.

"Stop." I held his hands giggling. 'Are you okay Tae?' Jake sent through the link. 'Yea, I'm marvelous' I replied. "Well let's head back before they think that you slaughtered me." I dragged him back towards the pack house nodding as he chuckled.

"So what were you doing when we got here this morning?" He intertwined his fingers with mine.

"I'm a warrior along with my brother." He suddenly twirled me so I was facing him.

"Why?" Oh he better not say something sexist.

"I became a warrior after my ex-mate rejected me to keep myself occupied." I pecked his cheek as he had me walking backwards awkwardly. He had me entranced that I didn't notice we were near the pack house until I heard a gasp. When I turned around my brothers, Nic, and Diesel were outside talking with Eden's pack members. I felt my blood rush towards my face.

"Are you the warrior that got injured severely?" I nodded, causing him to growl. I rubbed his back up and down with my hand to calm him down. "So you are related to the Beta?" He arched his eyebrow after he controlled himself.

"Indeed I am." I rolled my eyes as we walked towards them.

"What's going on here?" Jadiel asked perplexed.

"Chill, Jadiel and guys, Eden is my second chance mate." Nic smirked while Diesel, Jadiel and Jake glared at Eden. Eden's pack members' grinned at us.

"What do you mean a second chance?" Jadiel roared causing Eden to growl at him.

"Well I had a first mate whom rejected me then the moon goddess rewarded me with a fantastic second chance mate." I beamed at Eden.

"Now I understand why you were depressed three years ago." Jadiel connected the dots and I nodded. "You realize you could have told us we could have beaten up that asshole he can't get away with rejecting you and we could have helped you subdue your despair." Jadiel said.

"Who is the mutt that rejected you?" Jake asked aggravated. Holy f*****g s**t they can't find out.

"It doesn't matter anymore bros either way you can't do anything to him and now I have Eden." I said proudly for having formidable brothers. "Anyways, Eden, you already met my brother and Beta Jadiel. The blonde next to him is my best friend and his mate Nicole. Then this guy right here." I said, pointing at Jake. "Is my twin brother and partner in crime, Jake. Finally, Diesel, the head warrior also known as my brother from other parents." I giggled, as Diesel rolled his eyes and Eden chuckled.

"Well as you know Taelyn is my mate." He said and I cringed once again. "I would like to have your approval to court her." He stated without hesitating.

"Just take good care of her and don't hurt her as that bastard did." Nicole said after she squealed.

"Nicole." Jadiel hissed. "Just have in mind that Alpha or not if you hurt my sister, I'll disembowel you." Jadiel proclaimed receiving a growl from Eden for disrespecting him. "And good luck handling Tae as Jake and her are inseparable." Jadiel continued unaffected by Eden's growl.

"Take good care of my sister nonetheless keep in mind that you still have to speak to our father." Jake added his input. Of course, Jake always had to be with me, we are twins and we have a special connection.

"Alright, well I'll like you to meet my brother and Beta, Tyler." He pointed at the guy that went inside with him. "That's Gabriel, my third in command and best friend." He pointed at the dark haired guy that had stayed outside. "This is my other best friend, Luke." He said as the blonde guy that had stayed outside waved at me. Eden had his arm around my waist as soon as his lips touched my temple we heard a ferocious growl this caused Eden to immediately tug me behind him, shielding me from whomever let out the growl although I knew who it was. Axel.

"What is going on here?" He roared. 'Why is he touching you?' Axel mind-linked me and I instantly put up my barrier ignoring him. "Taelyn Yanley, put your damn walls down this f*****g instant." He roared again. Damn, this Alpha and his language, growling, and roaring it seems as if he needs some manners.

"Enough." Eden growled and I immediately wrapped my arms around him from behind which seemed to calm him down.

"Why are you touching him?" Axel asked a little more composed.

"Well, Alpha, I would like for you to meet my mate." I said walking around Eden to be in front of him as he wrapped his arms around my waist. 'You are mine, not his.' 'You want to tell them that? You chose a choice mate so deal with it. This ship sailed a long time ago and now you have your mature Luna.' 'Taelyn, take your hands off of him.' 'I was never yours and certainly I will never be. I deserve to be happy.'

"Well, we have to go as Eden needs to speak with my father." I quickly put my barrier back up before he began mind-linking me again.
