When Dagney walked into the room where her father and mother was sitting she saw Colden looking serious, Then her eyes meet the man sitting beside him talking to her father. He stopped his sentence as soon at her eyes meet his, Her breath caught as she stared at one of the most beautiful men she has ever sene. He was tall broad his long brown hair looks as if it was kissed by the sun cascaded over his shoulders hanging free, he had a full beard and green eyes that looked like moss, His lips were plump she could see threw the hair of his mustash.Dagney was intranced by this man and guilt took her over as she saw Colden and the way he stared at her. There was no denying she had feelings for him he saved her live more than once, he was the man she gave her vertrue to. Colden was beautiful and kind but did he have her heart?

Dagneys thoughts was intrupted by her fathers voice as he introduced her to the man she now knew as Keld Earl of Hedeby , Coldens Uncle. She blushed as he spoke to her she thought his rough voice was like silk that sent shock waves threw her body. Startled when Colden stood and spoke to her father requesting an aduiance with him privately. Her blood ran cold she knew her father had known what had happened between her and Colden and he was not happy. She had to beg him the night before not to kill Colden, She explained to her father why she had layed with his and that she needed control of something in her life after everything that had happened to her over the last twelve years, that she cared for Colden but didnt know what her feelings where right now.

He told her he understood her reasoning even if he did not like the actions she took, That in the future she needed to think harder before acting with a man. Shame filled her as she thought of the conversation she had with her father as she sat down next to her mother she watched as her father and Colden walked out the door."Colden is not the man you will marry, and what happened between the two of you will not happen again, You are the daughter of the King. You will marry who i say Dagney." her fathers words rang in her head. 

"I hope you are adjusting well sense your return?" Keld said to her pulling her out of her thoughts.

"I am trying."

"It is a lot to take in im sure but with time and help from those who care and love you l'm sure you will find yourself Princess Dagney."

"Please call me Dani."

"Dani" He smiled "As you wish"

Dani's heart fluttered as he said the words. she looked to her mother who was smiling turning her attention back to Keld. "I heard my father say he would go to war with you against another Earl. What has he done if i may ask?"

"Of course, Earl Sigrun is trying to usurp my Earlship of Hedeby, And i can not allow it i have fought to hard to make Hedeby the city it is today."

"A prosperous one at that, We are very proud of the work you have done Earl Keld." Thrya said 

"King Rangvaldr made me Earl when the old earl died of age and left no succseor in his place, i will not allow another to take what your father intrusted in me to protect."

"Thats..." Dani stopped as she saw her father return alone, Where was Colden? He walked up a smile tugged at the lang1033 cornerslang9 of his mouth. as he looked from her to Keld.

"Thats good to hear Keld." Rangvaldr had heard there conversation. " Because i am wanting to intrust you with something much more presious to me." He said as he sat next to Thrya.

"Yes my King? " Keld said with question on his face.

"Yes. I would like to intrust my Daughters Hand in marriage to you, I know you are looking for a wife to rule Hedeby with you and give you sons and daughters. and I could think of no better man for my Dagney than you."

Dani froze was her father really talk to Keld about marrying her? She didnt even know him how could he make this desision with out telling her first. What had he and Colden talked about and why did he all of a sudden lang1033 decidelang9 she would Marry now? Her head spun with all the questions. her mothers voice broke her conintration.

"Rangvaldr Dani has just returned to us, Please let her settle in before you marry her off."

"I want what is best for her and i feel Keld is what is best he will make her a good husband." Looking to Keld. "Well?"line "If that is what the Gods and you want my King, I will accept her hand and cherish and protect her with my life." Keld said as he looked at Dani, He made his promise.

"Good it is settled then, Tonight we celebrate the upcoming battle and we will anounce the wedding of earl keld and My daughter Dagney."

Seeing the shock on her face Thrya grasped her daughters hand "Come my daughter we have much to lang1033 discuss lang9 , And we can allow your father to speak with Earl Keld." lang1033 gettinglang9 to her feet Dani followed her mother out of the room all of the emotions she was feeling threatened to escape her. Turning Thrya cupped her daughters face in her hands "Breathe" she said "Just breathe, everything will be okay. Your father knows what is best for you." Dani wiped the tears streaming down her face "Why now is it because what happened between me and Colden?" her mother knew she had confided in her when she returned from her walk on the beach with him.

"I do not know, But i agree with your Father Keld will make a good husband for you. I saw the way he looked at you, and you him." She said 

"I dont know how i feel mother, Yes Keld is a handsome man but i dont know how i feel for Colden."

"Your father has already told you how he feels about Colden and i agree, Yes we are thankfull to him for saving your life and that is the reason he is alive but my daughter deep down i hold blame on him for you being taken in the first place."

"What? Mother it wasnt his fault."

"He left you on that beach alone Dani, He should have made you go with him."

"He could not have know that i would be taken, No one could we didnt even know that those men were around we only saw the boats not them untill it was to late."

"None the less. You will do as your father says and you will marry Keld."

"But... yes mother" Dani said hanging her head she had no choice.
