Keld ran his hand threw his hair as he waited for the slave to fetch the drinking horns for rangvaldr and himself. Marriage he thought to himself to Dagney, a smile tugged at his lips she was the most Beautiful woman he had ever seen her curvy body and long dark hair as black as raven feathers and green eyes almost emerald, her tan skin shows she has been kissed by the sun and her pink lips all he could think is he wanted to press his mouth to those lips and savor the taste of her, Run his hands threw her ebony hair that falls like silk around her shoulders and over her breast.
"Earl Keld when should we advance our warriors to Roskilde?" Breaking Kelds thoughts of Dani.
"As soon as possible i want this threat gone now more than ever. I dont want any risk to Dagney ecspecially when she becomes my wife."
"I agree Sigrun will try to use my daughter in some way against you if he is not delt with."
"Dagney has been threw to much and i dont want her feeling like she is any more danger, I want to make her feel safe and protected."

Standing beside King Rangvaldr Keld looked at the room full of people awaiting to hear what their king had to say.
"I GATHER YOU ALL HERE TO ANOUNCE WE WILL BE JOINING EARL KELD OF HEDEBY IN BATTLE AGAINST THE EARL SIGRUN OF ROSKILDE." Rangvaldr yelled over the noise of the people. At the sound of his words the room went silent as he spoke. "I also would like to anounce the impending wedding of Earl Keld of Hedeby to my Daughter Dagney at the end of the week, May the All Father bless them and give them many Sons and Daughters."
The room went wild with cheers and shouts "SKAL,SKAL,SKAL!!!!" Rangvalder lifted his and Dagneys hands together and brought them togther.Keld took Dagneys hand and looked down at her face as she looked up at him a small smile graced her lips with his free hand stroked his fingers down her cheek he had wanted to do that sense he first saw her, Her skin was soft under his.
Colden froze by the door when he heard the announcment King Rangvaldr made Dani was marrying Keld. HIs blood went cold he knew she didnt have a choice but now he would be forced to see the woman he loved marry another man not just any man his uncle. She would be in Hedeby could he live with knowing he would never be with her? Was this the gods punishing him for his sins.
Looking toward Dani his eyes conected with hers and they stared at each other he knew she could see the pain in his face he turned and walked out of the door toward his horse he needed to leave he couldnt be here. "COLDEN" he stopped at the sound of her voice, turning he saw Dani walking toward him.
"Go back inside Dani."
"Where are you going?"
"I Cant stay , i cant watch you marry another."
"i dont have a choice Colden, My father knows what happened between us."
"I know, i asked your father for your hand today. He told me he would never give me his blessing to marry you."
"What, You did? Why didnt you tell me Colden?"
"What does it matter Dani, Rangvaldr said he would never give his blessing that he feels i took advantage of you in england that i took what i shouldnt, and hes right i should have resisted and maybe now the gods wouldnt be punishing me."
"It wasnt your fault im the one who started it its me the gods are punishing, I love you and i cant be with you im being forced to marry another."
"Keld is a good man, He will make you a good husband." Colden said the words that felt like daggers in his throut. "I love you Dani, But i am not worthy of you nor am i the right man for you."
"Colden..."
"Colden!" Keld said as he walked tward them. "where are you goin Nephew?"
"Back to Hedeby Uncle if we are going to battle we are going to need plenty of swords and sheilds, so i better get started."
"Good man, Arent you going to congratulate me and Dani on our engagement?"
"I was just doing that when you walked up uncle." Like salt in the wound of his heart he turned to Dani."Congradulations again Dagney, May the All Father Bless you both."
"Thank you Colden." She said softly
"Will you be back for the wedding Nephew?"
"I do not know yet, i have lots of work to do."
"Okay then ride safe and may the gods guide and watch over you." Keld said as he grasped Coldens shoulder pulling him into a hug. whispering into his ear "Let her go, she is mine now and i will protect what is mine. what you had with her is no more, if i feel you are trying to be with her in any way i will kill you. My blood or Not. do you understand?"
Pulling back Colden nodded to Keld and walked away anger filled him, The gods were punishing him.
