Vale real estate firm*
"We are deeply sorry Ms josh, but we don't hire underaged staffs in our firm." The interviewer said apologetically.
"Aish seriously Under-aged! Who said I'm underaged?" Rina sked angrily as she left the interview room.
" Imagine such audacity, not only is she underaged she is even falsifying her age." The interviewer told his colleague who shook her head pitifully.
"Everywhere underaged, underaged who said I'm underaged? I was only wronged by puberty." She mumbled close to tears as she walked toward the entrance of the firm.
Vale was also entering the firm, Rina bumped into him unknowingly"I'm sorry sir." She apologized and left without sparing him a glance.
"Such a nutcase."Vale said and continued his movement.
"Hey Rina how did it go?" Keisha asked, she and Rico were waiting waiting outside for Rina during her interview.
"Same story kes underaged, like seriously what do they want me to do? Puberty wronged me." Rina complained bitterly.
"It's okay Rina a better job will come." Keisha said comforting her. "I think I have an idea, to help you Rina." Rico said seriously.
"Nobody wants to hear it gentleman." Rina said making them laugh.
"Ouch Rina you've hurt my feelings, I will get you now." Rico said and started chasing Rina around.
Vale sat In his office absent-minded, his thoughts reminisce over the conversation, he had with his grandma last night and the promise he made.
*Flashback*
"Vale give me a great-grandchild grandchild, I'm not getting any younger
I want to see my great-grandchild before I die." Grandma Mary said softly.
"But grandma that isn't possible, I can't possibly do that! Vale exclaimed.
And besides you are not dying anytime soon, I forbid you from dying." Vale said dismissing her request coldly.
"Really! Okay then get ready to bury me vale." Grandma Mary said and started crying making vale perplexed and confused.
"Okay okay stop crying grandma and don't even think of killing yourself or doing anything rash, I promise to give you a great-grandchild." Vale said forming a plan to secretly adopt a child.
"Vale your child must have the Ashton blood flowing through his or her veins, don't fool me." She said crying the more.
"Don't worry grandma,I promise to give you a child carrying my blood." Vale promised immediately canceling his thoughts of adoption.
*Flashback ends*
"Oh this woman has placed me in bind." He muttered putting a call across to Jake Richman.
After calling thrice no responses, he decided to drop a text Incase he is performing a surgery. "Emergency; emergency; save a bro let's meet at apple club tonight my 8pm it's really urgent." The message read.
After sending the message, he started reviewing the documents and proposals on his desk.
*Vale's recycling factory downtown*
"Good afternoon dad." Arianna greeted her dad with a downcast look.
"Welcome back my angel, from your expression the interview wasn't in your favor." Old Josh said
"It wasn't, the usual reason underaged." Rico said laughing while Rina gave him a dangerous glare.
"Seems we need to buy an aged makeup for you my princess." Old josh teased making Rina pout. "Not you too dad." Rina pouted cutely making Keisha and the rest laugh.
"Okay it's alright stop laughing at my princess. Old josh said with a smile
Baby I prepared lunch for you and your friends, so guys go home wash up and eat your lunch."
"I love you daddy, thanks alot." Rina said then she left with Keisha and Rico.
"Old josh you are really lucky, to have such a beautiful damsel as your daughter." Jack his colleague said while the rest nodded in agreement, while old josh smiled with a word.
*Vale real estate firm*
Vale was still engrossed in his documents, when his phone chimed indicating a new message, it was from his grandma. "Where are you vale? Aren't supposed to take over office today? I have been calling you." The message read. "On my way." Vale replied and rushed out of his office in haste.
"Sir I just received a call from the masco's investment, they want to schedule a meeting with you, can.............." Tell me about that later Vic, I'm really in haste." Vale said walking away hastily.
*Ashton group*
Vale strode in leisurely into the meeting room in deep contrast to his former haste, bowing slightly to his grandma he took his seat beside the CEO seat, Vicor was still sitting on the CEO seat.
"Let the hand over begin." Grandma Mary said.
The legal documents and hand over were handled quickly, everyone applauded vale as he took over office.
"Thank you grandma, for putting your trust in me I promise to give myself to the group, taking it to higher heights so I promise." He declared solemnly.
"We trust and believe you can will, Mr vale Ashton." Grandma Mary said shaking his hands.
Vicor shook his hand too, "watch your back little nephew, many eyes are on this seat." He warned
"Well understood uncle, but I promise to perform better than those eyes." Vale replied provoking Vicor.
" We will see to that son." Vicor said with a smile.
*Apple night club*
Vale was able to free himself from the celebration party that was hosted in his honor by his grandma, and with great speed he arrived at the club by 9pm.
When the club manager saw him, he led him to the VIP room where Jake was waiting for him.
Opening the door, vale was surprised seeing barely clothed ladies almost half a dozen frolicking with Jake, who seemed to be enjoying the show.
"Hey bro come sit here". Jake said patting the couch he was sitting.
"You are an hour late bro." Jake said handling over a cup of wine to him. "Tell me about it bro, grandma wouldn't let me go." Vale said tiredly
"It's alright bro, so what is the emergency all about?" Jake asked.
"It's confidential ask your ladies to leave." Vale said coldly.
"Sweet ladies please wait for me in our usual room, after discussing with my uptight bro we will have a lot of fun tonight." He said making the ladies cheer happily as they left.
"So what's up bro?" Jake asked when the room was finally empty.
"Give me a child Jake, I need a child urgently." Vale said desperately, while Jake stared at him with wide eyes
