Chapter fourteen

Liz's POV

    I smiled and pecked my boyfriend David. We met in drama class and he was sweet but I wasn't sure I liked him that much. But he was a sophomore and I was a freshmen so it was cool to date someone older.  

    Thank you so much for the flowers" I said as I caught Tony staring from the corner of my eye. Today Tony and I shared our first kiss, on stage in front of half the school and our families. He was too stubborn to drop the role so we both had to kiss for a play. He came forward and pushed David to the side grabbing me by the arm and dragging me into a dressing room.

    "Tony what the Hel-" Before I could finish Tony kissed me passionately and deeply. I stood frozen in shock and also out of practice since I've never really kissed anyone before.  But also Tony the guy I've been fighting with since I was four is kissing me. His frienemy. He frowned and pulled away.

    " Y-you don't feel the same way do you?" He chuckled and shook his head. "Of course you don't, you've always hated me." I frowned and shook my head. I couldn't believe it Antonio liked me back. I always thought he didn't.

    " I uh, no I just. I didn't think you liked me like that, and I um I didn't kiss back because well I have a boyfriend who you just pushed back there and I kind of don't know how? I've never had my first real kiss" I admitted growing red. Tony smiled and came closer once more.

    "Forget about him, he's not the one for you" He said as he kissed me slowly this time.

I woke up from my dream in a panic, I don't know why but I've been having dreams of Tony and I as young kids. Maybe it's the stress of being here in a house full of wolves and away from home but each time they feel more real.  After a few days at the pack house I felt closer to Tony than I ever had. I kept having a terrible head ache though. It started that same night we arrived. But with the head ache my feelings for Tony grew stronger. Maybe I was imagining things but I could physically feel our mate bond growing stronger. Tony had told me the same. He wasn't sure if it was because I was human but at first it was hard to feel the tingles and shocks when we touched.  

    "Liz! Liz! Hurry there's been a break in! There's rouges everywhere! Tony told me to come and get you!" Kevin said running into the room. I frowned and looked ta him.

    "Where's Tony is he okay?" I asked full of worry.

    "Yes! He is, his men are fighting the rouges right now but we're just getting the women and children to keep them in safety until they clear out" I shook my head.

    "I don't want to go anywhere unless its with him." I said putting on my shoes. It was night time and I was in my sleeping gown. 

    "Liz I'm telling you he asked me to come and get you. He's an alpha he's stronger than anyone here. He'll be okay." He said extending his hand out to me. I nodded and went with him. 

    Tony's POV

    "Baby, I got Josh to make you your favorite. Some grilled cheese with some soup" I frowned as I looked around. Liz's scent was very slight. "Liz? Where are you?" Nothing. There was no sign of her. I called her and it went straight to voicemail. I mind linked my men to see if they'd seen her. I ran to Matt.

    "Hey man what's wrong?" He asked.

    "I can't find Liz, she's not f*****g anywhere! What if something happened to her?" I said pissed and full of worry. 

    "Hey calm down, I'm sure we'll find her. There hasn't been any sign of break in. Maybe she decided to go for a walk?"

    "It's a full moon Matt, if she falls into the wrong hands it wont be pretty!" I tried calling her again and still no answer, straight to voice mail. "I swear I'll f*****g kill whoever took her."

    "What if she's shifting?" Kate said randomly catching my attention.

    "Kate now is not the time" Matt warned her seeing how mad I was.

    "No hear me out. She saw my mark. Do you get it? Only magical creatures can see a mate's bond. Not a human. She took on two rouges. I think she might be a werewolf. Maybe she just hasn't shifted. Maybe she's a different type of wolf?"

    "I don't care what she is. I wont rest until I know she's safe." I don't know what it was but I felt like she went missing for a reason. "Matt gather a search party we're going looking for her." I said trying to find her scent. I searched everywhere I couldn't find her scent. I was going mad. She was already gone for hours. It was about to be midnight. My wolf was angry with me for living her alone and I felt terrible. If anything ever happened to her I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. 

   "We got a scent of her! She's near the mountains by the clearing." Carlos said. Without a second thought I took off chasing in that direction. I had called my dad earlier to let him know about the events happening. Maybe he knew who could have taken her. Our pack was powerful and people would do anything to take that power away. I shifted half way there. My wolf running faster than it ever has. Her scent was growing stronger. I could hear her too. When I arrived to the clearing there was a fire going in the middle. Liz was tide up to a tree.

    "Why are you doing this? I didn't do anything I don't even know you!" She cried. I ran straight to her when an invisible force through me back.

    "What the f**k?" I asked angrily. Liz looked at me with fear in her eyes. 

    "Tony! Help me he got me, he's talking crazy. He has a witch!" I frowned trying to go around the barrier. Until I hear a family voice chuckling.

    "Now now lets not be so dramatic. Why don't we stop pretending?" Kevin said running a sliver blade onto Liz's cheek. I growled and tried to go her way again. 

    "I'm not pretending anything!" Liz screamed. 

    "Don't act like you didn't hurt my heart baby. We were young but I loved you. You were supposed to be mine but than Tony came along! Ruining everything!" I looked at him confused.

    "Kevin, calm down. I'm sure that whatever is troubling you we can fix it. Just let me have Liz. She has nothing to do with this." Kevin laughed out loud and looked at a women next to him. Than it hit me, she was the witch that told me where Liz was. She looked apologetic when she looked my way.

    "You took everything from me. The girl I loved my pack everything! Man Evangeline here did an outstanding job. At first I wanted all of you dead. But she did the next best thing."

    "Kevin, I've never met you before please let me go!" Liz screamed.

    "Drop the act Elizabeth you know what you did! What your mother did! All for stupid powerful alphas."

    "Sir, they haven't broken the spell." The witch said trembling as if she was scared of Kevin. Kevin looked at both of us and started laughing.    

    "So you're still reduced to a human" He chuckled as he impaled the silver blade right into Liz's side. I growled and tried to go to her but the barrier was not allowing me. She screamed in pain as her body was threatening to give out.

"Kevin your f*****g dead!" I growled. He looked at me.

    "No, no I'm not. Soon Liz will be, and you will know what it's like to loose her all over again" I frowned and looked at her. I had never met Liz until I moved. Tears were escaping her eyes. I felt her pain and I couldn't do anything to stop it. I could smell her blood, he heart was beating fast.

    "Liz listen to me, I love you okay nothing is going to happen to you, I'm going to get you safe" I said trying to make her pain go away. I gasped when her eyes started glowing purple.

    "Well well well looks like the full moon is at its peak and for someone who's never shifted it should be quite painful." Kevin laughed. I felt Matt run into the barrier and he also got sent back. 

    "It's a spell we can't go through." I said as Liz cried in pain as I heard her bones crack.

    "S-she's one of us?" Matt asked. 

    "After you left me Liz, I wanted to die. I'd promise that when the time came I'd reject my mate for you. I thought you'd do the same. My father told me you would since your mother didn't. She chose your father! But he couldn't protect you from us now could he? Your mommy even died. That's what she gets! For leaving my father but you Brown women are like goddesses you make it hard not to love you. But you Betrayed me Liz and you and Antonio will pay the price. You were my second chance to get a powerful pack I actually loved you. I was supposed to be Alpha with you as my Luna, now Antonio's men will die and so will he. But I'll make sure he watches as I tear you piece by piece." Kevin screamed. 

    Through the corner of my eye I saw the witch lower the barrier being cautious that Kevin didn't see her. I got a little closer. Liz stopped screaming from her shifting. She looked our way and a tear slipped down her cheek. 

    "B-buba?" She said as she looked at Matt. She than shifted into a large brown golden wolf. I stood frozen as all the memories of my childhood with Liz came back to me.

   "Leave my sister alone!" Matt screamed as he threw himself at Kevin.
