Pain

I shoot up out of the hospital bed and run into the bathroom. I try to control my tears but they kept coming. After a half hour of crying I finally stop and look in the mirror, I jump back in shock after looking at myself. My eyes used to be a deep grey and now they are an electric grey-blue with blood red around my pupil with a few gold specks. "Rena why are my eyes different." I ask my wolf. "It's because of you getting your wolf." She says as if it's obvious making me roll my eyes. I look closer and see I'm more tan now and my lips have more color. My lips used to be pale and I wasn't very tan before I got my wolf. I look beautiful and I feel confident but I don't want anybody to see my eyes or they'll know I got my wolf. It's not common for wolves eyes to change color when their wolf arrives. It's a sign of strong power and there are only two wolves heard of that this has happened to. I will have to start hiding my eyes so people don't notice. I will escape on my birthday that is in three weeks. After looking at myself in the mirror for a few more minutes I decide to take a shower. My back is almost completely healed with a few scratches left behind. After I got out of the shower I put the clothes that were brought to me who I assume was one of the nurses and head out the bathroom. Colton is sitting in the chair by my hospital bed and I freeze. I debate on running out the door or seeing what he needs. I decided to just stand here and wait for him to say something. He looks shocked that I'm fully healed but I keep my head down so he doesn't see my eyes. After a few minutes of silence he sighs and mutters something under his breath that I didn't hear. "How are you already fully healed?" He says confused. Before I could speak a female doctor walks in. I look over at her and it's my aunt in scrubs and a long white doctor jacket. She winks at me and says "I see the medicine I gave you for you to heal faster has worked well." And I instantly realize she's covering for me. I smile "Yes thank you miss." I say and she starts asking me the normal boring doctor questions and Colton just sits there waiting for her to leave. She finally heads out and he gets up and walks over to me. I get butterflies thinking he's going to hug me or something but what he does causes me so much pain both physical and mental. He slams me into the wall and starts to choke me. The fact he would hurt me, hurts more than the choking. Rena is whimpering but blocks off the pain and starts growling. "No Rena he can't find out. Please don't do anything." I say to her with a pleading voice. She whines but doesn't do anything. "Thank you." I say to her softly. He slams me into the wall again and raises me off of the ground bringing me out of my thoughts. "Why are you so f*****g weak? Why did the moon goddess give me such a weak mate?" He growls at me and it takes everything in me not to break his wrists and run away crying. I don't say anything I just keep my head down and leave my hands by my side. He gets annoyed and drops me. I fall to the ground fighting for air.

There was no point in fighting to get the air back in my lungs because what he says next knocks the air right back out of me. "I, Colton Wesley O'Conner reject you Kayla Renee Russo as my mate." He says and it feels like someone is ripping my heart to shreds. I don't show any emotions though. I just get up without looking up at him and mutter "I Kayla Renee Russo except your rejection." I walk out the room and hear him drop to the floor and scream. I ignore it feeling completely empty inside and leave the hospital. Completely forgetting about all the work I have to do I go to the forest and start running. I don't know how long I was running but when I finally stop I realize I'm at the border of the pack and I climb a tree and cry my eyes out. When I'm finally done crying I jump down from the tree and decide to go back to the pack house. As I was about to go back I hear a twig snap from behind me. I sniff the air and smell rotten meat and garbage. I hear the rouge growl from behind me and I turn around and see a big brown wolf standing there ready to attack me. I decide it would be a good way to blow off some of my anger and get in a fighting stance. The rouge looks surprised when it looks in my eyes and sees my red eyes from letting some of my wolf take control. I extend my claws and growl lowly at the rouge and the ground shakes slightly surprising both the rouge and me. I quickly shake off the shock remembering there's a rouge in front of me. The rouge hesitates for a second but finally decides to attack. He jumps in the air aiming for my neck with his claws but I move out of the way before he can claw my neck and he lands face first in the dirt. It pissed him off but before he can try to attack again I punch him in his big wolf head and cut his side open with my claws. His wolf is big but mine is bigger and I know I can beat him in human form. He howls in pain and tries to bite me but he misses. He kicks me into a tree and I feel a few of my ribs have broken. I ignore the pain and get up and try to go for his throat with my claws but he moves just not fast enough and I grab his throat. "Shift!" Rena commands after taking control. He looks surprised that he could be commanded and shifts to his human form. He's got a nice body but I only want my mate. I grab the clothes in the tree I have him pinned against and give them to him after letting go of his neck. "What are you doing on my land." Rena asks still in control. He looks confused but answers anyways. "I wasn't planning on hurting anyone I just wanted to steal some of the medicine and some money." He answers honestly. I nod after getting control back "What's your name and how old are you?" I ask "My names Ethan and I'm eighteen." He says and I nod again. "I could try to help you. I'm the pack slave even though they didn't make me apart of the pack. I was out here trying to get away from my mate since he just rejected me." I say and look away so he doesn't see the tears in my eyes. I don't know why I feel safe telling him this but I do. "He's a piece of s**t for rejecting you. Why wouldn't he want you when you're that f*****g hot? And there's no way your the pack slave when you're that powerful." He says sounding shocked. I smile at him and he smiles back. "What kind of medicine do you need. I can't really help on the money part but I can get you the medicine you need." I say and his smile gets bigger. "I need some pain medicine for my twin brother. He was attacked by a group of rouges when he was on a run last week. He's in bad condition." He says sounding sad and I instantly feel bad for him. I smile at him "Meet me in this same spot tonight and I while bring you the medicine, I promise." I say holding out my pinky. He chuckles but links his pinky with mine.

I go back to the packhouse and do all the things I have to do. I then head to the hospital and lie to them telling them I have broken ribs that won't heal fast since I don't have my wolf and ask for some pain medicine. I get the meds and go back in the pack house keeping the medicine hidden under my shirt in my bra between my boobs where nobody can see them since I have big boobs. "You stupid ugly mutt why can't you ever do anything right?" I hear from the living room and decide to ignore it so I don't end up getting beat with them. I stop when I hear Lana whimper in pain. I decide to go and make sure she's okay. I see Kiley standing over Lana looking angry while Lana is on the floor bleeding. "I asked you to clean this dress in a specific way for my date tonight not for you to get it all stained and ruined!" Kiley screams with her annoying ass voice. Seeing her hurt my best friend pisses me off and I walk over. I help Lana up and turn to Kiley. "Did you really just beat her for getting a stain on your little dress when you have plenty others in your closet? You sound like a little spoiled ass b***h!" I say furious that she hit Lana over a dress but I don't look up at her. "Shut the f**k up you ugly w***e! I have a date with Colton tonight and she stained my dress!" She says and my heart breaks even more. "You have so many dresses just wear a different one and stop beating all the omegas for every little thing! If all of us left right now none of you would be able to survive!" I say not caring about what I say because this stupid spoiled w***e keeps beating us for no reason! She growls and storms away. Lana smacks me upside the head "Kayla you need to stop talking to them like that! One day they'll end up killing you and I can't help because I'm weak!" She scolds me but ignore her and take her to the kitchen so I can clean her wounds since we aren't allowed to use the bathrooms. After cleaning up her wounds she goes to bed and I go to meet up with Ethan to give him the meds. I finally arrive and he's waiting there for me leaning against one of the trees with a goofy grin on his face. I smile at him and reach in my bra and hand him the medicine. He groans while looking at my boobs but looks away and adjusts himself. I grin at him but stop when there's suddenly sharp pain in my stomach. I drop to the floor and scream holding my stomach. Ethan runs over to me "What's wrong Kayla?" He asks looking worried but I'm in too much pain to answer. I extend my claws and start clawing at my stomach. Ethan is screaming at me to stop while trying to hold my hands away from my stomach but I growl at him and rip out his grip and start clawing myself again. "My mates sleeping with that w***e!" I scream while clawing myself. I let out a loud growl that causes the ground to shake and suddenly the pain is gone. Ethan drops to his knees and hugs me while I cry and after a few minutes I calm down. "You should go I'm pretty sure some of the warriors are going to be looking for who let out that growl and I don't want you to get caught and thrown in the basement to get tortured." I say "How can I get ahold of you?" He asks "I don't have a phone or I would give you my phone number but I will be escaping soon just tell me where you live and I will go there." I say and he smiles and tells me he lives 90 miles west from here and to keep going straight until I see a two story brick house. I hug him and he runs off. I get up and walk back to the packhouse and go to my room to sleep.

I wake up at three in the morning screaming in pain and clawing at my abdomen. The pain starts to spread to my chest and I begin to cut there when someone tries to hold me down but I throw them off of me and start to claw at my chest again. The pain finally stops after thirty minutes and I'm bleeding all over the place. Rena is in the middle of healing my wounds when I look to see who was trying to hold me down and I see it was Lana. She's hurt from trying to hold me down and I instantly feel terrible for hurting her. "Lana I'm so sorry for hurting you I didn't mean to." I say and she smiles "Why didn't you tell me you got your wolf early?" She asks and I tell her everything.

"So your a really powerful wolf and your aunt is the moon goddess?" She asks stunned and I nod my head. Her face lights up "That's amazing Kayla!" She says happily. "I know but we need to escape soon. I can't handle being here around them any longer." I say exhausted. She agrees and we both go back to bed. I wake up and start on breakfast after brushing my teeth and washing my face at the river. I make eggs, bacon, pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and donuts. I start to set up the table with the other omegas when I hear Kileys ugly fake laugh and Coltons awful voice. They both come in the dining room when the tables are fully set and make out in front of me breaking my heart even more. I keep my head down hiding my eyes and leave the room in pain. I can't wait to escape and leave this place. I can't bring myself to hate this pack but I do hate the higher ranks. After finding out my parents were the true Alpha and Luna of this pack I've decided I will leave and train to get stronger and learn more fighting skills and techniques and come back and take my pack back. I'll make the higher ranks suffer for what they have done. Especially Rogers and his w***e and they're ugly daughter. I want to kill them and all the others who have made my life a living hell but then I would be killing most of my pack. They will pay for ruining my life.

It's been a week and it's now night and I am clawing myself again for the fourth time today." I can't take it anymore I can't take this pain."I say to myself crying. "No Kayla we can't give up!" Rena says but I ignore her. I run out of the pack house into the forest with a silver blade in hand and I keep running until I'm sure nobody will pass through to try to stop me. I sit down leaning against a tree and cut from my wrist to my elbow on both arms. I get annoyed because I'm healing fast so I decide to stab myself a few times in the stomach and I pass out from the pain.

I wake up with a groan from the pain but I suddenly realize what I tried to do and I look down to see I'm mostly healed. The silver slowed down my healing although it would have killed other wolves. "Damn it!" I scream and start crying. I can't handle this pain anymore. I don't want to be here! "Kayla I couldn't let you kill us. Be strong we have a big purpose for being alive. Don't let our pack be run by them for forever. They need us and they don't even know it yet!" Rena says softly and I stop crying and decide to go back for Lana and escape this place now. I quickly get up and run as fast as I can back to the packhouse. I finally get to the packhouse and look for Lana. I find her cleaning the living room and I grab her arm. "We're escaping now come on!" I whisper to her. "What? Are you crazy Kayla! We could get caught and killed!" She whisper yells. "Lana I won't let that happen." I say and shine my blood red eyes to her and quickly switch back to normal. She gasps but quickly goes quiet to not raise suspicion. "Come on!" I say not waiting for her answer and drag her to the forest. After I get to a safe spot to shift I turn to Lana. "Listen don't freak out and get all loud when you see my wolf, okay? We have to be quiet and try to get out of here without hurting anybody." I say and she nods. I shift not caring about my clothes and Lana gasps seeing my wolf. I lay down so she can get on my back and she quickly climbs on after grabbing me a big t-shirt from one of the trees. As soon as she gets on and holds on tight I take off in the direction of Ethan's house. The border patrol sees me and tries to block my way but I jump over them and make it through the border.

After running for thirty minutes we get to the two story building Ethan was talking about and I howl. Two of the same looking guys come running out the house looking ready to fight. Lana gets down and I shift back to human form not caring if they see me naked. It's normal for wolves to be nude around each other. Lana passed me the t-shirt and I quickly put it on. I hear Ethan groan and I laugh. "You haven't forgot about me have you? It's only been a week." I say smiling. "I'm not sure I know you." Ethan says teasingly. I smirk and Lana walks over to me looking confused. "I met him in the forest the day I got rejected by Colton. He came through our border and we fought and I ended up helping him get medicine for his twin." I tell her and her mouth forms an o. I smile and turn back to them seeing the other twin staring at me like he's trying to figure out if I'm lying or not. "She's the one who beat my ass and got your medicine for you." Ethan tells his twin pointing at me. The twins smirk at us making Lana and I confused. "Why are you looking at us like that?" I ask and squint my eyes at them. "Oh we're just thinking about all the fun pranks we're going to do to you guys." Ethan says and his brother nods smirking. Me and Lana look at each other then back at them and gulp. The twins laugh at us.

After finally calming down from laughing the other twin speaks up "I'm Eric since my i***t brother didn't tell you my name already." He says and waves at us. We all head inside and they show us around their house. This house is really nice with some expensive furniture so what did Wthsn need money for? "Ethan you have a nice house so what did you need money for?" I ask when he starts to lead me to my room while Eric and Lana talk following behind us. "Eric was in such bad condition that I thought I would have to take him to the hospital but the medicine you gave me healed him really quickly." He says sounding confused. "What was in the medicine you gave me?" He asks "It was to boost his healing and take away his pain." I say to him and he nods. We get to my room on the second floor that's down the hall from the twins's rooms and Lana's is across from mine. Eric shows Lana to her room and Ethan shows me mine. It's a beautiful room and it has all my favorite colors! I have a king sized bed with a black fluffy comforter and four big pillows with black pillow cases. I have dark grey walls but the wall my bed is against is dark red. I have black and red curtains and a black flat screen tv in my room on the wall across from my bed. I have a black desk in the corner with a black and red chair. I had a huge dark grey fuzzy rug that went from my bed to the middle of the floor. I also had my own bathroom with marble flooring and my shower was also marble. Everything was very expensive looking in this house. I had my own walk in closet that was filled with clothes my size. "How did you know my size?" I ask going through the clothes happily. "I own a clothing business I only had to look at you and I instantly knew your size. I was shocked but also impressed. I know he's lying about why he needed the money but I'm not going to pressure him into telling me why he needed it since we just met and he will tell me in his own time. "Thank you so much for letting us stay with you and thank you for all of this!" I say and he chuckles. "It's no problem honestly." He says and smiles at me. He leaves the room and I decide to grab some fresh clothes and take a shower and cook breakfast for everyone and go on a run. I grab some black leggings, a black tank top some black sneakers and some underwear. I grab a big fluffy dark grey towel and start to undress and get in the shower. I'm in the shower when the pain starts again and I drop to the ground and scream. Lana comes running in and helps me finish my shower and get dressed. She walks me over to my bed and comforts me until the pain is gone. When it's finally gone we walk downstairs and see the guys in the kitchen talking. "Hey are you okay?" Ethan asks and I nod. "It's just my stupid mate sleeping with the pack whore." I say and Eric gives me a comforting hug. I try not to cry but when they all group hug me I burst out in tears in Eric's chest. After crying for a few minutes with everyone comforting me I let them know I'm okay. I wipe my eyes and start getting ingredients out to cook. "You can cook?" Eric asks "I was the pack slave so I had to cook and clean all the time." I say as if it was obvious. "Wait a second you were a pack slave?" Eric asks stunned. "Yes and Lana was one too." I say and she blushes. "They made me an omega when I was ten years old." She says and I decide to change the subject knowing it isn't an easy subject to talk about. I give her a side hug and decide to ask the twins the question that has been on the tip of my tongue. "How did you guys become rouges?" I ask looking at them. "Our pack was attacked by a pack of rouges. We were actually next in line to be alphas." Ethan says looking sad. I frown "I'm sorry that happened to you guys." I say and they smile sadly back at me. I go back to cooking and I decide to make pancakes, bacon, and eggs for our breakfast. We all eat while getting to know each other and what we like or what we hate. After I finish eating I tell them I'm going on a run and I head out. I start out running in human form but Rena wanted out so I stripped and shifted into my wolf and picked my clothes up with my mouth.

I'm not sure for how long I was running but I finally stop running when I get to a lake with crystal clear water. I lay down and roll in the grass enjoying myself when I hear a branch snap to my left. Another branch snap to my right and I get up and get in a fighting position. Two huge wolves almost my size come out of the forest growling at me and snarling. I didn't realize I was on another packs land until I sniffed them. I froze realizing I'm trespassing and they continue to growl at me. I get annoyed with them and roll my eyes. I growl lowly back causing the ground to shake lightly since it was only a small growl. They wolves looked shocked for a split second. I decide to try to just leave but they charge at me when I try to run off. I realize I'm going to have to fight them in order to escape but I want to see if I'm faster than them first. I run as fast as I can and make it off their territory. I decide to tell the other when I get back about a possible pack I could steal from if we ever needed anything.
