"How did this happen?" Asked paul
Sradha merely looked onto him.
"Where did it happened?"he asked again.
"In a room. "
"Where?"he asked again.
Paul asked everything. She explained everything to him but in a different manner. She explained that it was their mutual decision and it was with mutual agreement becuase they loved each other.
She told them that the physical relationship happened only once.
"Do you think he loves you truly?"
"Yes"
" if he loved you truly, would he do this? Would he have took you into a hotel room? "
Sradha don't have an answer to it. She is cent percentage sure that Ram loves him and he will come for her.
"Ma.. Let's get them married. What else can we do?" Paul said to Sradha's mother. He too calls Sradha's mother as mother or ma.
"Dear, how can i do this? I know he just used her. Don't you know him? Such a divorce who loved another person after marriage right before his divorce. He dumped that girl too. He acted like loving sradha after that.. I have already enquired about him." She started crying again.
Ram was in love with another girl before sradha and after his marriage. Sradha knows it. Sradha doesn't find it a wrong.
"Also what would i tell to her father? What will i tell to others? What will others tell when she give birth to a child eight months after marriage?" Her mother added and cried.
"What are you saying?" Paul asked to sradha.
Sradha didn't replied. Let's get rid of this problem now and let us be married. But what her mother saying was a problem to her also. she is loved by every one in her village and family. She is the youngest in family so every one loves her.
She doesn't want to damage her image at the same time she want Ram in her life.
They were all discussing about marriage but not in pregnancy. The child stood as a question mark among them. Sradha's mother wasn't stopping her tears from morning. It became after noon.
"Ma.. I don't want this child now. " sradha said suddenly.
They all reacted like they were waiting sradha to say that.
"Ok then what about Ram?" Aksed Paul
"I will convince him."
"Ok then i will call him and ask him to come here."
Sradha's mother called Ram and ask him to come to church. Meanwhile, they discussed about the hospitals where termination of. Pregnancy is done. Its not done in jm hospital and they know another hospital where the procedure is done.
Sradha sat near them muted.
Ram approached them. He was neither in sad nor in happy. One of their friend was standing near a car. And two others were sitting in car.
Sradha's mother asked sradha to talk to Ram.
They sat in a bench inside church. Sradha's mother, brother and paul were standing outside church at back door by looking at them.
"Ram.. They agreed to our marriage. But.."
"But..?"
"Not with the child.. We have to terminate this pregnancy and get married after that.."
They remained silent for a moment.
"Are you ok with it? " asked sradha again.
"Hmm.."
"What.? "
"Iam ok with it."
"We have no other options ram. I need both you and my family with me my life. I We decide to continue this, she will not be with us.''
" iam ok with it"
They stood up from the Bench and approached family who was standing at backdoor
"I have told everything to him" sradha said
"Is he okay with it?"asked Paul
"Yes"
"Ok"
Paul called Ram to a corner. They talked each other. Sradha's brother also joined them. They talked for about fifteen minutes . Then Ram left.
Then sradha with his brother and paul with Sradha's mother left church. Sradha don't know where they are going . When sradha gets on to brother's bike, she saw Ram sitting in a car. He said a No with his hands..
'How could i say a No now? Is he saying a No or saying good bye? He doesn't have the courage even to disclose my pregnancy. Now he agreed to my mother infront of them and saying a No to me in back of them. Why doesn't he say a no infront of them? ' sradha thought as she travelled in bike. She saw Ram's car to some distance in bike's mirror. Then it disappeared.
