The Vampire Princess

All Alone

My screams and howls of pain began to die down as my body began to feel heavy with tiredness and sorrow. Usagi put his torn and bloody suit jacket around me and I slowly turned to face him. He had a sorrow filled face and Claude sat next to me as he said, "We feel your pain, My Queen." I looked at him then said as I looked at my father's corpse, "We need to take them home and bury them properly." Usagi said as he looked around, "I will go look for a vehicle for us to transport the bodies more easily." I nodded and Claude said, "I will stay to guard her, please hurry." Usagi gave him a nod then he began to run. He was fast but somehow I was not amazed. Claude put my parents together and they seemed very peaceful almost as if they were sleeping but the blood told me otherwise. I looked at them then my body gave way to fatigue. I looked at Claude as everything went black. 

I woke up to the sun touching my face and I felt myself moving. I sat up and Claude said as he touched my shoulder to calm me, "We are almost to the castle." I looked at him confused then saw the familiar scenery of the province I lived in. I looked around as I saw we were in a van. It was long with 3 rows of seats. I had been laying in one and Claude was sitting on the floor in between the drivers and passengers seat. I took a deep breath then smelled my parents. I looked behind my seat and saw my father laying on the seat. Usagi said as he saw me looking back, "Both of your parents are in the seats. Once we arrive we will prepare them for their funerals." As he finished saying that I took a deep breath then said, "I don't know what I would have done had I been left all alone." They became quiet and all we could hear was the sound of the motor running and the gears moving in the car. Claude finally said, "We were there for your father and now we will be there for you." I smiled and gave him a hug as I knew that he meant every word he said. 

We arrived to the house but as I looked at it I realized that they were right, it was a castle. The guards that were byt the entrance saw the van and they immediately were on alert. Usagi slowed down then stopped completely. He said, "I will get out but you stay inside, My Queen." Claude added as he too got out, "We will not let anyone harm you." I nodded my head and they walked to the guards. I looked as they all gave them sad looks then Usagi ran to the van and got in the driver's seat. He said as he turned the car on, "We had to explain what happened since we have a different vehicle now." I knew the protocol but he wanted to let me know what was happening to hopefully make me feel safe. I saw the guards surround the van and as Claude opened the side door to reveal the inside I was sitting facing everyone with white hair and hazel eyes. They looked at me surprised then Evanna screamed as she ran to the van with tears in her eyes, "Aarraa!" I felt her emotions and I began to cry again. I jumped from the van and landed in her arms. I began to weep uncontrollably as she hugged me tightly. She guided me inside as we wept in each others arms. Usagi and Claude made sure my parents bodies were placed in the morgue that was located near the edge of the castle where our cemetery was located as well.

I don't remember how I got in bed or when I even let go of Evanna. I sat up and noticed that my clothes had been changed. I felt someone next to me then I saw Evanna laying next to me with swollen and red eyes. I looked at her then noticed that she was still crying even as she slept. I got out of bed then went to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw many changes. My once long brunette hair was now white and my eyes were now hazel and they seemed to change depending on my emotions. I looked at the rest of my body and saw dry blood on my skin and some in my hair. I got undressed then took a shower. As the warm water caressed my sore and aching body I began to relax a bit. Once I finished I changed into black leggins and a black t-shirt then I walked out to my closet to see what shoes I wanted to wear. Evanna sat up as I got out and said, "Sorry, we cried too much." I walked up to her then hugged her. As she hugged me back I said, "I will have my revenge." Her head shot up to me and she saw my red eyes full of hatred and rage. She began to shake in my arms and I said, "Don't be afraid of me. I won't hurt you or let anyone hurt you." She calmed down but I knew that I could not keep my promise in my current state. I sighed then said, "I need to learn how to fight more efficiently not just let my rage take over." She took a deep breath then said, "What are you thinking?" I said as I looked towards my window, "I want to join the Royal Guards and maybe learn how to control my rage and discipline myself." She said softly, "We need you to take the throne." I let go of her then said, "How can I? I allowed my parents to die.... I am weak." She said as she got up, "You have to take the throne. You are the rightful heiress to it." I heard her logic but my mind was too destroyed to want to understand her. I sighed then said, "I need time..." She gave me a sad look then said, "I called your grandfather and he will arrive later today in order to proceed with the funeral and when he arrives we will talk about this too." I sighed loudly and nodded my head in agreement before she left. 

I was standing in my room alone but knew Usagi and Claude were nearby waiting for my commands. I looked outside my window then saw lightning light the night sky. I put on my black converses and made my way to the living room. I entered but saw that no one was there. I began to wonder around the familiar corridors until I suddenly felt like someone was in danger. I moved towards it and I saw both Usagi and Claude being confronted by some guards. 

As I got closer I could hear their interrogation and I saw swords out. I saw one of them about to strike Usagi with a whip when I said, "What is going on here?" They looked at me and moved away from them. I asked once again but more fiercely, "What is going on here?" Claude said, "Just an interrogation." I looked at him then my crinsome eyes appeared and he knelt and Usagi followed immediately. I looked at the others then said, "What were you asking?" The interrogator said with a shaky voice, "I asked them if they had been part of the ambush." My eyes almost glowed as rage once again began to take over, "If they had then I would have killed them." The interrogator said, "How come they were not injured?" I paused then smiled as I said, "I made them drink my blood since they were weak but not dying yet." They all looked at me with confusion then said, "Vampires who drink other vampires blood will die." I nodded my head then said, "My father told me the same thing." They all looked at me as if I was crazy but I said as I walked up to him, "I can drink your blood." His eyes widened then I sunk my fangs into his neck and took a sip. He pushed away from me but saw me the same way as before. Usagi said as he got up and walked up to me, "She made us her blood servants." They looked at him then I said, "This interrogation is over. Usagi and Claude will now go rest in the empty guest room that is across from my room." Claude said, "My Queen, we have a place to sleep." I said softly, "I feel safe when you two are near me." Almost as if I had told them a command they said, "We will be there." They began to walk away and I knew it was to go get their things to their new place. The guards stood in shock and surprise as they saw only a bit of my power. I returned inside and waited for my guards to return.
