Chapter 17

Matthew's POV

That evening Lorraine woke up and got discharged. I let her sleep first before I get out of the house.

"Matt," Niña called me as soon as she saw me entering the police station. Siya at ang dalawa niya pang kaibigan ay parehong nahuli.

"Matt, what is this? Are you crazy?"

I look at her like she's pretending to not know anything. Mas lalong nagbaga ang galit ko dahil sa pag mamaang maangan niya.

"Sa tingin mo hindi ko malalaman ang ginawa mo kay Lorraine sa parking lot." She looks shock. "It wasn't me, Matt. Nasa bahay ako nun kasama sila Ria. Yan ba ang sumbong ng babaeng iyon sayo?"

I shook my head. "Stop lying. Kilala mo ako pag galit." I am trying to stay calm because being impulsive won't solve anything.

"I am not lying! She's lying! You know I can't hurt her. I am not like that, Matthew." She's now crying while holding my hands na mabilis kong hinawi.

I look at Keane and he played the video from the cctv. The three of them look shook. Niña's face from red to pale.

"Don't ever lie to me. You know what I can do."

She continue crying and kneel down. "I am sorry, okay. I just want you back that's why I did it. Hindi naman siya nasaktan, binalaan ko lang."

"Not hurt?! Her foot are swollen. Her face was red and your nails scratch her skin. Is that not hurt to you, Niña!"

Kita ko ang takot sa mga mata niya. Hindi naman siya ganito nuon. "I didn't know you'll go this low just for this. Hindi na kita kilala." I shook my head, look the three of them then go. She tried to stop me but Keane and Errol stops her.

"Let's go back home, Michael. Lorraine needs me." He nodded and start driving.

I close my eyes as I remember how weak Lorraine was earlier. I saw how bad his hips and I'm mad to myself because I left her. Damn it!

Pag bukas ko ng pinto ay nakaramdam na ako ng pagod na tila gusto ko na lamang mahiga. "Saan ka galing?" Napalingon ako sa nagsalita. Lorraine is trying to stand up.

"Bakit ka pa bumaba?" I said when I saw her foot again. "Sabi ko saan ka galing?"

I took a deep sigh. "Police station." Now she looks concern. "Why? What did you do?" She even search my body if I have wounds. "I'm fine. I file a case against the girls who hurt you."

"Hindi na dapat. Ayos na naman ako."

I scoop her slowly I don't want to hurt her. I don't want her to feel pain when she's with me. If I could only took her pain I will.

"They need to learn their lesson." She was about to protest when I took a peck on her lips. "Matt," she said then giggled. I kiss her again. She giggled then cover her lips with her small hands.

"Stop,"

"I can't stop it,"

I saw how her cheeks burn. I really like it when she's blushing because of my words.

"No one will hurt you as long as your mine."

Lorraine just smile and rest her head on my shoulder. I like how she sweet she is now than before where she's too distance when it comes to me. I like the effect of Doc. Capistrano's weekly session with her.

Lorraine's POV

It was early in the morning I receive a call from unknown. Matthew gave me this phone.

It's been a week now since my foot was fully recover from the incident. Hindi ako binabalitaan ni Matthew tungkol kina Nina kaya hindi na din ako nag tanong pa.

"Hello?" Shaky pa ang boses ko dahil bagong gising.

"Lorraine!" Sa taas ng energy niya ay nabuhayan ako. Tinignan ko ang screen ng napansin na unknown number iyon. "Who's this?"

"It's Liza!"

Kakagising ko pa lang kaya hindi pa ganun nakaka adjust ang sarili. "Liza De Castro." She continue.

My eyes widen when I realize it. "Oh my, Liza! How did you know my number?"

She laugh. "Akala ko naman hindi mo na ako kilala. I'll tell you later. Let's meet?" I nodded even though she can't see me.

"Sure. It's been a while."

Sinabi niya kung saan at anong oras kami mag kikita. Siya ang pinaka malapit kong kaibigan nuong hugh school hanggang college. Alam niya ang nang yayari sa bahay kaya nuon ay niyaya niya akong lumayas at tumira na lamang sa kanila tutal only child siya.

I refused her offer dahil na din sa takot. Siya din ang kasama ko nuong mag report sa mga pulis ngunit nalaman din ng mga magulang ko kaya nilayo ako sa kanya.

Nagdidilig lang ako ng halaman habang nakangiti. Excited sa pag kikita mamaya ng aking kaibigan.

"Good morning. You're happy," Nilingon ko si Matthew na yumakap mula sa likuran ko.

"Tumawag yung kaibigan ko. Gustong makipag kita sa akin mamaya."

"Lalaki?"

I shook my head. "Hindi, si Liza. Siya ang madalas kong kasama nuong high school hanggang college." He nodded and smile. "Are you excited?"

"Syempre. Para ko na iyong kapatid. Ang tagal na naming hindi nag kikita o nag kakausap man lang dahil sa mga nangyayari sa buhay ko."

I felt him behind and put his head on my shoulder. "I wish you'll be this happy when you're with me. "

I hold his face. "Mas masaya pa when it comes to you."

"Hmm, don't play around me."

I turn off the hose then turn around to him. He's wearing my favorite black shirt. "I am not joking. I am really happy around you." Ngumiti ako bago siya hinalikan sa pisnge.

Pagkatapos ng pananghalian ay nag handa na kaagad ako para sa pag kikita namin ni Liza. Hinatid din ako ni Matthew sa restaurant na napag usapan namin. Gusto pa niyang sumama ngunit sabi ko ay ayos na ako kaya nag iintay na lamang siya sa sasakyan kahit na mukang mag tatagal kami ni Liza.

Nuong nakita ko siyang papalapit na sa akin ay hindi na ako nag dalawang isip pang salubungin siya. "Liza!"

"Lorraine! I miss you."

Just a little catch up. She never change, still the same high maintenance Liza De Castro. "How about you? I heard you're not leaving with your parent now. Thanks God." I chuckled at her.

"Yes, tinulungan ako ni Matthew. I suffer much and you know that." She tease me with Matthew. I told her about him and she said he's familiar. So I show her our picture together.

"Oh my! You're really lucky!"

"It's Matthew Alejandre. He's one of the most handsome and successful in business industry, ruthless and scary to mess with but hot!" Natawa na lamang ako sa way ng pag dedescribe niya kay Matthew.

Nag tanong pa siya tungkol sa abs nila na nakita niya daw sa isang magazine. "I'm sure mas yummy iyon in personal than the magazines." I chuckled at her.

"It's fine,"

"Fine? Lorraine, kung ako sayo dinilaan ko na agad ang abs na iyon. It feels hot and hard." Mas natawa ako sa kanya lalo na ng biglang pumasok si Matthew dito sa restaurant. "Oh gosh! Sorry Lorraine pero ang papi ng jowa mo. Sana all."

Napailing na lamang ako dito habang nakatingin kami kay Matthew na papalapit mukang nainip na sa parking lot.
