Chapter 14

1008 Words
The drive to Eunice’s didn’t take more than twenty minutes, with time to spare I was knocking on their front door. Secretly as I heard the footsteps grow louder, I secretly prayed it wasn’t Noah but of course the universe didn’t want today be in my odds. Noah opened the door. “This is a surprise, hey.” he stepped aside then I walked in. “Get used to it, where’s my buddy.” I turned him, it wasn’t till I actually looked at him that I noticed he was shirtless, I glared at his body then directly into his eyes. “And why are you shirtless.” He had amusement written all over his face from the tone I used. “It’s hot. It’s just buddy not f**k buddy right?” he asked me looking a bit panicked. “Well now, yeah only buddy.” watched as I saw his eyes flicker with anger. “You’ve had s*x with my sister? And you consider yourselves just friends?” I nodded my head effortlessly giving him a pointed look. “Do you have s*x with a your friends?” his voice was rather loud for comfort. “Uh-huh, what do you think I do with Charlotte when she spends the night or when she’s with me?” His eyes now clearly showed a mix of anger and annoyance, his face was priceless. I rushed out of the room running up the stairs, I wasn’t going to die today. When I was on top of the staircase I bursted into laughter, Charlotte was going to kill me. After opening two wrong doors, I finally found the right door to Eunice’s room. Her eyes glowed when she saw me walk into the room, she jumped from the bed. “Ready?” I shook my head yeah before we went down the hallway, I had just passed through. When we were passing the living room, Noah was no where to be found which was definitely good. “Where are we going?” I questioned as I saw Eunice walking up to the passengers seat of my car. “To have fun. Now get in and drive.” She directed her hand towards the drivers side then I heard the door slam shut, I quietly walked to the right side of the car and got in. “Take a turn here.” I followed her instructions by making a left turn. She still hadn’t told me where we were going, I just hoped she wasn’t trying to murder me. “Stop, right at that building.” I parked the car in the half empty parking lot, Eunice didn’t even wait for the engine turn off, she was already out of the car. I soon followed her, I walked over to her. She caught me by surprise, her hand went into mine and she dragged me across the parking lot to the building, I didn’t have time to read the word we were already through the doors. I was still being dragged by Eunice, my eyes trailed off to the building, I can’t believe she took me to do this. We came to a halt, there stood a blonde haired dude who wore a name tag, Nick. “You took me roller skating.” I asked her Eunice as my eyes were admiring the roller skates behind the guy. She smiled before nodding her head. “Yes, now what’s your shoe size.” This would have been fun if I wasn’t making a complete fool of myself, the worse part was Eunice’s annoying laugh.“Get up, you’re blocking the way.” I shook my head in opposition, I wasn’t going to fall again and anyway who sucked at roller skating. “Okay enough, come on. I’ll hold your hand.” Eunice laid out her hand to help me get up, I gripped her hand tightly we started to move slowly. She didn’t let go of my hand, we kept skating hand in hand as the music played. I turned my gaze to our hands the at Eunice, everything just disappeared, it was just us in our world. Her blue eyes found mine in the midst of everything then she smiled and things stopped, the lyrics of a song kept running in my mind as I stared at her. Say you won’t let go by James Arthur. I met you in the dark You lite me up You made me feel as though I was enough. We danced the night away, we drunk too much I held your hair back when you were throwing up then you smiled over your shoulder, for a minute I was damn cold sober I pulled you closer to my chest And you asked me to stay over, but I said I already told you I think you should get some rest I knew I loved you then, but you never known ‘cause I played it cool and I was scared of letting go I knew I needed you but I never show but I wanna stay with you until we’re grey and old Just say you won’t let go I didn’t realize I we stopped till Eunice was asking me if it was okay to go and I just nodded, my eyes still fixed on her we walked out skating ring. I and Eunice stopped by a restaurant to grab an early dinner, not that early but it still was dark out. I spent an hour with Eunice at the restaurant before dropping her off at her place and driving myself home, my mind still invaded with Eunice. My head was now staring at the ceiling again, just like how I started the day but this time it was different. I was rethinking my feeling towards Eunice, my heart felt a familiar warmth and I couldn’t help but smile and frown at the same time, I didn’t want to destroy our friendship but I wanted something more. I growl in frustration, how was this even possible. I had known her for less than a week, it didn’t add up, I closed my eyes slightly trying to contain myself but Eunice came to mind as the darkness over took me.
