Chapter 3: When All Hope Crashed

I got up from the floor, wiped my tears away and then went home to prepare the last of the food for tonight. All the alphas from packs were allies with would be invited to the party, this included the strongest alpha of all, the alpha from the Silver Moon pack. He was feared amongst all wolfs, because of his strength. Even my stepfather, who was one of the strongest alphas feared him. People said his wolf was like a wild beast. But even though he were feared all girls wanted to be his. When I was finished preparing the last food I went up to my room, started getting ready for the party, I didn’t want to go, but it was required that every pack member would attend. I wore a long red dress, which had a slid up to my thigh on the left side and low-cut front, so I shoved a cleavage, red high heels and my long blond hair was falling down my back. I looked in the mirror, I had concealed the bruises on my face and on my finger with make-up so no one could see them. Then I took a beep breath. I walked down to the packhouse, but when I reach the hall of the packhouse an intoxicating smell hit me. It smelled like Vanilla and coffee. Mate, mate, mate my wolf said, jumping up and down in my head. I looked around to try to find where the smell came from. My eyes landed on the most handsome guy I had ever seen, he had slicked back black hair, tanned skin and emerald green eyes. He wore black skinny jeans, a white t-shirt with V-neck and a black leather jacket. He radiated a strong aura and I locked eyes with him for a short while. I could see realization in his eyes. He then averted his eyes. My mate was Alpha Xavier Silver, from the Silver Moon pack. I couldn’t believe it. The most powerful wolf of them all was my mate, he could definitely save me from the horrors of my life.

Alpha James got up on stage, along with Eric and Marian. “Dear pack members and Alphas from our Alliances, I’m glad today to present the new Alpha of The Bloody Moon Pack, my son Eric.” James said.  Eric walked up to his father and Marian along with him. “Dear pack members let me introduce to you, you knew Luna, my mate Marian.” All the pack members cheered and the alphas, except Alpha Xavier, clapped.

While all the pack members got up to Alpha Eric to congratulate him, I went out to the garden, waiting for the party to end so I could clean up. I had no desire to stay in there or to congratulate him, I could still feel the pain from when he rejected me, and I feared more than anything else to be rejected again. I could still the pain form the first days after the rejection, before I reject him back, when he slept with Marian. I hated him. When I was standing by a tree the same intoxicating smell from earlier hit me and I turned around. Alpha Xavier stood right behind and when I had turned around, he forced me up against the tree. “Listen carefully. Whatever you think, I will never accept, such a weak and pale wh*re and murderer like you as my mate. I reject you.” He then released me and walked away. I sank down to the ground and started crying, my knees were at my chest and my arms around my knees, my head was buried at my knees. He rejected me, my new mate, the one wolf who could save me rejected me. I sat there for hours crying. When I finally got up all the guests had left, and I started cleaning up. Suddenly I felt a pain at my chest and looked down to see that I had received some scars on my chest, the scars of betrayal, that meant my mate was having s*x with another. I had received them, one time before, when Eric had s*x with Marian, but those scars had vanished. But this time it was more painful than last time. I had problems breathing, and I started wheezing, after an hour the pain disappeared, but the scars were still there. I started cleaning again, when I felt a present behind me, I turned around and saw Eric standing there with Matthew and Cory. He took a step closer to me and I stepped back. This got him angry and he walked towards me, trapping me against the wall. “You look, so sexy tonight, were you trying to seduce every unmated male?” he said burring his head at my neck. I tried pushing him away, but he was too strong. “Please stop.” I said with tears in my eyes. He ignored me and slipped his hand up the slit in my dress and up to my panties. “You are such a f*cking wh*re, Elena. Trying to seduce every unmated male.” He then moved his hand down to my p*ssy, but before he could do anything else, I kicked him in the crotch and slapped him across the face. I tried to run away but got caught by Matthew. “You dare to hit your alpha.” He growled red in the face. “No, I…..” “Take her away to the dungeon, tomorrow she will receive 5 whippings as punishment.” He said to Matthew and Cory. They grabbed my arms and started pulling me away to the dungeon. “No, please…..I’m sorry….Please.” I begged, but he ignored me. I was pushed into a cell in the dungeon, it was cold and dark. And again, my tears ran down my face.

I was woken by someone opening the door, Matthew and Cory came in “Come on, your punishment awaits.” Cory said. They took one arm each and walked me up to the town center, I was chained to two stakes. Then Matthew took a whip that were dipped in wolfsbane and gave me one whip. It was painful and I could see all the pack members cruel smiles. When the second whipping hit, my tears ran down my cheek and then the third whipping hit. When the fifth and last whipping hit, I couldn’t feel anything, I was drained from energy, and my back was numb. Matthew released me and I sank to the ground, Eric walked up to me and looked down upon me. “Now you know the punishment for hitting your alpha.” He said scornfully at me, then he walked away. I got up and ran into the woods, I couldn’t take it anymore, my eyes were drained in tears and I just wished I was dead. All my hopes were crashed, the only thing that kept me going was to find my new mate, so he could safe me from this hellhole, but he rejected me. When I finally got to the lake, I took the knife I was caring with me all the time and cut myself in the wrists. Then I sat down by a tree and let the blood fled out. Never before had the lake looked so beautiful, the light shining on the water making it look like diamonds. And finally, I could feel the peace.
