//Chapter 72//

227 Words
There were voices everywhere. I was drowning in them. I could not tell if I was conscious or not. There was a heaviness in my eyelids which refused to let me open them when I wanted to. I felt like someone had hit me with a heavy object. Everything was heavy and hurting. I could not move a single muscle in my body. I felt like I was strapped on to something. May be I was. It hurt so much. Something was crawling inside my blood, biting my fibres and modeling them to a new shape. "She is ready to inject." One of the voices said. It came from directly above me, as if someone was leaning over me. I tried harder to open my mouth or eyes and failed miserably. A sharp sting could be felt on my shoulder. At once, my whole body began to shiver and jerk, trembling as if I was having a seizure. Without even knowing, I could feel it was venomous. I wanted the liquid out of my system. What ever it was injected in to my arm, it brought pain everywhere it went. I felt it burning a path inside me. Blood; Muscle; Heart. As my heart rate began to speed up frantically, I tried to latch on to the consciousness I had. I didn't know when I black out.
