"Why do I even bother," she sighs, and Aden stops the car. "Well, if you feel that way, get out!" He makes his voice louder and she looks at him in shock. She just shakes her head and climbs out. The door closes and he spins away with speed. The tires can barely keep up as they spin on the dirt next to the road. "I don't have time for brats," Aden complains more to himself than to Kay. He forgot that Kay could understand everything. He doesn't even look at the girl as he drives away.
She climbed out near a bus stop, she should be fine and he will not be stressing about her. He feels relieved with her not being here. It's strange how each person can cause you to feel some things differently each time. Kay just watches him from the back seat, trying to get a read on what he is trying to do. Not everyone is loud with their thoughts and expressions on their face. Kay notices that they are not in the city or open road anymore, they are between trees and they are thick, dark green, and look massive.
Kay's sudden movement to look at the window caught Aden's attention and he smiled a little at this. Kay's tail is swaying a little and her ears are standing up, her full attention is on the trees she sees. She sees humans with tails and ears running within the forest, dodging trees and looking at the car now and then as they run alongside it. Birds are chirping, insects are making noise, it sounds like paradise outside of this car. Kay can't wait to get out and run in these woods. She wants to feel the freedom in her fur again.
The house comes in view, it is big and beasts are moving in and out of the house. Some have uniforms on like aprons and others are wearing chef outfits. But one stands at the door, dressed in a suit. He looks a lot like Kevin, with blond hair and yellow eyes. He has long ears, like a fox with little black tips on the point of the ear. He is a fox. He opens the door for Aden and Kay gets out on her own, looking everywhere. "Tony?" Aden looks at the fox who is just standing still for the time being.
Tony is looking at Kay, he has a frown on his face. "She's a time victim," Aden assures him, and Tony finally breaks his gaze and looks at Aden. "Time victim, like Jake?" Tony asks in broken language, and the name catches Kay's attention. "Jake Lumack?" Kay asks as she turns to them. Tony sees her stump. "You know him," Tony asks, like an animal, and Aden just watches them. "Yes, I know him," Kay tries to let Aden sort of know what they are talking about. "So you can also shift like he can to a full animal?" Tony asks another question and Kay nods at him.
Kay transforms into her natural form and shakes her body. Having just one front paw will need some time to get used to. They have never seen such a beautiful big wolf. Aden smiles and Kay lets the saddle appear too. Aden's mouth falls open at that. "You let people ride you?" Aden asks in shock, and Kay shows no. "Just those that I allow," Kay answers him in the mind and he blinks at her a few times. She turns to human again and Aden has no idea what to do with this new ability he discovered.
"Master...maybe we... can... ask the... doc if he can... fix her," Tony gives an idea in the broken language of the humans. "I know don't know if he would, but we can try. Come on Kay, I need to introduce you to our doctor," Aden shows her that she should follow. They use a lot of gestures here, that is what she noticed. She follows Aden inside, it looks like a comfy place. As you get in you see the living room on your right, the kitchen on your left. In the hall, stairs are going up to the rooms.
When you pass the stairs you reach a bar on your right, connected to the living room, and on your left is the dining room connected to the kitchen. And in front of you is the door that says: "Doctor". Aden knocks and a voice inside says that they can come in. Aden opens the door and right in front of them lies a dead body on a metal table. The doctor looks up at them and he eyes Kay. Not sure if he should greet the princess, but her eyes make him realize who she is.
He moves his eyes to her stump and his eyes narrow. He makes eye contact with Aden, knowing what Aden will ask next. Kay does not know how to react to this man. He looks like her father. White hair and blue eyes. His skin is a little pale, but not too pale to make you think that he is sickly. "I refuse," he opens his mouth even before Aden has asked for anything from him. "We don't know what the tech and animal combo will do," he spits out, angry with Aden for even trying to ask this.
"She's like Jake, a shifter," Aden says of the world that makes Doc stop moving. Jake was a huge help. "Wait, can Jake shift?" Kay asks, surprised at what Aden just revealed. "Yes, he can shift into a snow leopard," Doc says proudly and Kay has a big smile on her face. She's happy that Jake eventually got to shift. "Why are you happy about it?" Doc asks, confused at Kay's smile of pure joy. "The last time I saw him, he was a babysitter for his pack," Kay shares her story. She remembers that day when the kids threw them with snowballs.
"So you guys have met before. That's something new," Aden is impressed, and Kay nods at him. "Well, first thing first, Master Reeck. She baths and cleans herself and gets clothes before I do anything for her," Doc points out her blood-stained clothes and Aden looks at Tony. "Take Kay to the hero side of the house and let a maid have clean clothes for her," Aden gives the order, and Tony bows his head slightly. "No worries, I have my clothes here," Kay shows her bracelet which makes them all confused but they will focus on that later.
The hero side. Kay thinks as she dries herself off with the towel provided for her. She wonders what Aden meant by that. Does this house run on different divisions? She saw the maid and servant courters are on the other side of the hero courters. She chooses her outfit in her bracelet and like always, she is barefoot. Kay makes her way to the doctor's office where Aden is still talking and waiting for her. "It looks much better. You clean up nicely," Doc says and Kay smiles at him. "Thank you," she bows slightly to show her respect to him.
Kay moves over to the deceased body on the table. The body has dark lines all over it, where the bones are close to the skin. "These are energy lines connected to the nerve system," Doc explains to her about what she sees. "Energy lines? What do they do?" Kay asks curiously and Doc looks at her. He sees that she is genuinely curious about this topic. "This one was a unique tech. They can use energy unlike others," Doc explains, and he sounds sad while he speaks.
"Energy to perform certain tasks," Kay asks again. She is trying to understand this body in front of her. "Yes, this one uses his control over energy to control elements," Doc starts to feel better as he speaks more about the Tech. "Like me?" Kay sounds sad about this. "Like you?" Doc asks, surprised, and Kay nods at him. Lifting her only hand in front of her and starts to form a fireball. Next to the small fireball, she forms a water ball. After the water ball a little tornado and after the tornado she lets a small golem appear. Each element moves on its own.
Doc looks at Aden and both their faces are amazed at this. Suddenly Jake pops his head in the door and glares at Kay. "What are you doing here?" he does not sound happy about it, and Kay turns to him, the elements still moving around in her hand. "Jake!" Kay greets him with a smile and he still glares at her. "Answer my question Alpha Queen," Jake growls and Kay keeps on smiling at him. "I got teleported here," Kay answers him truthfully and Jake's eyes fall on her stump. "The whitecoat that controls time did that," Jakes makes his statement.
Kay looks at her stump and just nods, confirming what Jake already knows. "Alpha Queen?" Aden and Doc asked simultaneously. Both show their shock and surprise with what they just learned. "She is the Alpha Queen of my timeline, Master Reeck," Jake answered him with respect and the humans did not expect that they will have a queen today. "Alpha Queen?" They asked again and Kay nodded at them. "What?" Aden can't wrap his head around it. "Let me explain. White wolves are rare, to begin with. Kay here is the Alpha Queen for she was born as a pureblood for having two white wolves as parents," Jake smiles at them.
