CHAPTER 3

"Fenris, you are going to pay for what you did to my team members," the man spat after engaging him in a one-versus-one battle. "I wouldn't say that if I were you," Fenris said, slashing the man's back in a flash. "Urrrrghhhhh," the man grunted, still not falling to his knees. "Leave Saber alone," one of the men said, attacking Fenris from the rear. Fenris chuckled as he slashed off the man's head from his neck with his claws. "You bastard," another man said, moving at a high speed towards Fenris. "I allowed you guys to leave this town in peace while you still had the chance," Fenris said, gripping the running man with speed, which halted his movement. Strangling the man, Fenris grinned, breaking every bone located in his neck before dropping him dead on the floor. "We will leave in peace. Just let us move out of this place alive.". "If I allow you guys to live, you will have to do something for me as well." Fenris smiled mischievously. "We would do anything; just let us live." "You would head back and report that you were attacked by a man called the wolf beast who killed the woman you were sent to eliminate.". "Yes, we will do that," Saber said, breathing heavily. "And as a warning to you, Anyone who mentions anything he or she saw here will perish faster than anything that ever existed. "Yes, sir, "Saber shivered as his ears began to function, making him lose balance. "If you try saying anything about me or the lady in my cottage, the bomb in your ear will detonate." "Bomb" "Yes, Bomb, now hurry before I change my mind," Fenris said to them as they leaped out of the town and back to the woods. "What happened here?" Fenris heard a voice behind him. "You've woken up finally, right?" "Nah, I still feel a little nauseous, and my appetite feels crowded for some reason. "It's because your regenerative cells are partially opened and functioning, unlike the other werewolves." "So are you saying that I can't recover from it? Isn't there anything I can do to make myself on par with the others?". "Well, there is, but I don't want to teach anyone evil for the greater good. "I am not evil." "Then why did you get sent out of your pack and have people come to assassinate you if you were still alive?". "It's a long story, and I don't want to talk about it. Thank you for all your help, but I think I have to leave. I don't want to cause any more trouble." Octavia said, turning away from him and moving towards the inner town. "You can stay here with me till you are okay and ready to move. I wouldn't let my patient slide so easily off my fingertips, Fenris said, holding onto her arm and dragging her back. "I appreciate it, but I have to go," she said, trying to loosen his grip on her arm. "You haven't been given permission to move, baby gal," he said to her, dragging her with his full strength as she twirled and finally stopped in front of him with her face facing his and their lips closer than ever. "Stop calling me baby gal; the name's Octavia Ashina." She said she was trying to move, but his strong grip on her held onto her tightly. "Octavia Ashina. I see, but that doesn't mean I get to start calling you Octavia. Baby Gal suits your personality and strength. Until you get stronger, I get to decide which names to call you.". "That doesn't seem fair, she said as tears fell out of her eyes. "Can you just let me move away? I feel insecure in this position." She appealed to him as a grin appeared on his face and he let go of her hand and body. "Go get some rest right now. You need to rest more. It is essential to rest so you can harness the strength of the world located in the woods. "I hope I won't become a burden to you," she said, staring into his eyes. "You aren't a burden to me. You are a pretty-looking damsel who fell from the sky just to please my appetite.". He said he was moving to the entrance to sit. "I don't believe a flirt like you exists." "Don't you have flirts in your pack, or are they all grumpy monsters trying to kill everyone?". "Well, there are still flirts in my pack, but I don't think anyone is as good as you." "Thanks for the compliment. Can you come to sit near me? I want to give you something." "Sure," she said, moving towards him and settling next to him. "This is the blue moonflower. It is a blessing to my town. It helps cure the sick in times of illness and quick recovery in terms of injury. I think it might help you with your immune system, he said, handing her three petals from the blue moonflower. *Are you sure I can take this?" "Yes, it won't add up to anything if you take it, but it would be a waste if you don't. Just take it in and let the body do the rest." "Okay," she said, chewing on the petals. "To think we have been talking for hours without knowing each other's names is kind of weird. So let's do a proper introduction." "Oh, sorry, it slipped my mind. My name is Octavia, Octavia Ashina from the Moonlight Pack, she said to him, stretching her hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you, Octavia. My name is Fenris, the Alpha of the Bluemoon Pack, he said, taking her hand as they shook hands. "So, Octavia, what led you to leave your pack and become a wanderer in the woods?" "It's a long story, and I don't think you will be interested in it." "It's okay; I have all the time in the world to listen to you.". "Okay, it all started three years ago."
