Axl POV
The girls were disappointed with my answer. Especially the one named Jessica. She looked at the girl sitting next to me with a look of hatred. I don't understand why girls fight over a guy like me so much. Of course, I'm handsome, cool, rich, and the school owner's son. The perfect standard to be the idol of these girls. Unfortunately, they made me sick.
Every day they follow me as if I'm some kind of superhero, even though I don't feel like I've done anything to them. I also have no intention of taking their virginity at prom or any party. I hate being considered a guy who just wants to get laid.
I'm intrigued by 'Newbie''. I don't know her name, but I will soon. It's easy for me to get acquainted with anyone I want. What an Axl Smith can't do. I can get whatever I want.
"Go on. I need to talk to this girl in private," I said to the girls. I'm sick of all the boobs they're showing to attract men, especially to me.
"Why do you like a slut like her?" Jessica still didn't seem to accept it. I'm sure she's still too new to know who I am. No one can argue with me.
"That's none of your business. You'd better leave. You're interrupting our date," I replied.
Jessica looked annoyed. She walked away with footsteps that sounded rough. I had to do this because I was really curious about this girl. The girl who ignored me in class earlier.
The girls left disappointed. This had happened many times before. They also knew no one could ask me out or go on a date unless I wanted to.
Now I had a chance with this girl. I looked at her, who wouldn't look at me. I was so sure my face was so handsome that no woman could resist my charms, but this girl just avoided me at the first moment.
"Why are you silent?" I asked. I tried to find the direction of her gaze, but she kept avoiding me. "If you dodge again. I'll kiss you again!"
"Don't!" Instantly the girl looked at me. I saw her eyes which were blue and very clear. I must admit that besides the look in her eyes, she was too ordinary. The way she was dressed was not attractive at all. "What's wrong with you? Why are you holding me back? I've heard the rules you gave me. You should let me go."
I smiled because she finally spoke. She had a funny way of speaking. Sparrow-like, pause marks and too fast.
"You're scared of me, right?" I asked as I brought my face closer. I saw the smooth skin of her cheeks despite not wearing any makeup.
"Just let me go," she said as if pleading. I loved it when she was helpless and begged me. I'd never seen a woman like her in Denver.
"What's your name?" I asked. More intensely this time. I stare at her crimson lips. Her lips were so dry. I tried it earlier. But I'm still curious.
This girl's body is trembling. I didn't do anything to hurt her. Isn't my behavior more like a man seducing a woman? Why did she react as if I wanted to pounce on her?
"Answer my question," I spoke once again with great pressure.
"Ellen! My name is Ellen!" She answered with trembling hands. I wanted to hug her, but she seemed to be getting scared.
"Good name," I said. I let go of her. I didn't want to be accused of harassing her, even though I had to admit my methods weren't right. "Go."
Ellen stood up immediately. She immediately carried her bag away. I saw her fleeing in fear. I looked at her, who was getting farther away. Though there was nothing special about her, it was like a magnet that made me want to see her again and again.
"f**k," I said as I got up. But I accidentally saw a book on the bench. It was the novel Cinderella by Giambattista Basile. An old fairy tale book that I thought was too old-fashioned for today's teenagers to read.
"Cinderella?" I muttered as I carried the book. I didn't intend to bring it, but it seemed a good excuse to talk to 'The New' again.
***
I headed to the parking lot before school. And again, the girls always followed me.
"I am sorry, Ladies, I have some business!" I quickly started my sports bike and left the school.
People called me a punk. Especially the teachers. Unfortunately, no matter what I did, they couldn't do anything because I was the school owner's son. Technically my father paid their salaries so that they couldn't touch me. Yes, I am untouchable.
I rode my bike as usual. It was my first day since I skipped school two weeks ago. I don't like school because it's boring. Everyone is nice to me because I'm the school owner's son. I feel sick, but I can't do anything about it. I have to obey whatever my father wants.
Wait, I saw someone walking on the sidewalk. It's 'Newbie.' Why is she walking? Is her house near here?
I turned the gas deeper so I could get close to her. When I had overtaken, I stopped near the sidewalk.
"Hey, Newbie," I called out. 'Newbie' looked around. She was so stupid. There was only me here. What is she looking for?
"Don't pretend to see me. Come on up. I'll take you home," I said.
"No, thanks," Ellen replied. She just walked past me.
What is that? Did she reject me? No woman has ever rejected me. This hurt my pride. I immediately got off the bike and chased after her. I grabbed her hand and made her turn around and face me.
"What are you saying? You're rejecting me?" I looked at her a little angrily. I don't know why I should be angry. She made my reputation as the most desirable guy in school instantly ruined.
"I didn't say anything," she replied without feeling guilty.
"Wh-what?" I chuckled at her words which made me even angrier. "You don't know who I am?"
Ellen shook her head. This is my first time seeing a truly stupid woman like her.
"Get on my bike!" I ordered her.
"Why?" She asked with such an innocent expression.
"Don't ask!" I pulled her hand so that she could approach my bike.
"I am sorry, but I have to go home. Don't be like this. Axl!" She said my name clearly. I heard it.
I grabbed her jaw so roughly that she winced in pain. I don't care. My anger was exploding right now.
"Looks like you need to learn to behave properly with me, Newbie." I intimidated her.
"Why? Why are you doing this to me? I haven't done anything wrong. Please, let me go!" Her voice was pleading. But I like it when she pleads with me.
"We'll find out the reason later. Now I have to teach you a special lesson," I said with a smile.
