Alexis: how what happened he was just here?
Victor: He didn't tell you that he had to take care of something tonight?
Alexis: No he didn't he only told me that he was off because i told him i needed tonight off and he said he would watch Leo.
Victor: So what are you going to do now?
Alexis: I'm going to see where your boss is since they think you are off duty. I'm pretty sure they took him to a hospital.
Victor: From what i heard last they took him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital and in surgery.
Alexis: Thank you.
After getting off the phone Victor Alexis calls Riley and asks her to come over to watch Leo so she can go see Gabriel. When Riley gets there Alexis takes Gabriel's car and gets to the hospital. when she finds a park she runs into the emergency room and asks if Gabriel is out of surgery.
“You know I can't let you know the information if you're not family.” The nurse said
“Im his wife now where is he!” Alexis screamed
“Well his wife is already in there with him.” The nurse replied
“What do you mean I was at home waiting for him to get home from work and I got a call from a friend of his telling me he was here. so what do you mean his wife is with him?” Alexis argued
“Ok then i need to call security.” the nurse said scrambling
“Yea you go do that while i find his room.” Alexis said
Alexis calls Victor and asks if he knows where gabriels room is. He tells her and she removes her heels and runs to his room and finds Gabriels ex-wife fighting with the nurse and security. She continues running until she is next to Aura and says “ Next time you try and claim to be with him again I will be the one to escort you out and let's just say you won't like it.”
Alexis walks over to Gabriels bed side and puts her stuff down on the chair next to her. she reaches over and grabs his hand and talks to him hoping that her voice will wake him
“What am I kidding, I'm not even supposed to be here, how did we go from almost making out and having a cupcake to him shot and in the hospital.” Alexis thought
“What is going on in that head of yours and why are you here you are supposed to be out with Riley?” Gabriel asked
“Hey don’t scare me like that. Well I wasn’t going to let you wake up alone.” Alexis replied
“Boss you're finally up, what did she do, kiss you.” Victor said laughing
“No but man I’m sorry about your date you didn’t have to leave for me.” Gabriel said
“Oh it was no problem Alexis understands .” Victor said looking at Alexis as she shakes her head
“What do you mean Alexis will understand?” Gabriel asked
“Me and Alexis were going out tonight for dinner but when I heard you got shot I called her and said we should postpone it.” Victor replied
Alexis slowly gets up and walks towards Victor. She gets in his face and grabs him by the collar and drags him out of the room. When they get out she slams the door and says “Why are you talking so much he didn’t know that I was going on a date I told him I was going out with a girlfriend of mine.”
“How was I supposed to know you were lying to the boss ? He is really not going to like that.” Victor said
“Yea I did but that is not your business to tell.” Alexis replied
Alexis storms off and goes outside somewhere Victor can't find her so she can breathe. twenty minutes later a nurse runs up with victor screaming “ You need to come mr.Bentley stopped breathing and the blood flow to heart slowed and made him have a heart attack, they are rushing him into surgery again if you would like to wait in the waiting room or his room you can a doctor will come and update whenever they can.”
An hour later Gabriel is out of surgery and Alexis is asleep. Gabriel calls one of his men in to bring Alexis a change of clothes, a blanket and any other essentials she may need for a few days. When alsexis wakes up she sees Gabriel sleep and a bag with clothes in it she goes to the bathroom changes and goes to the cafeteria grabs coffee and heads back to the room. She walks in the room and the doctor is in the room checking on Gabriel and a nurse is rebanding him.
“What the nurse is doing your wife will also have to do every hour and every time you shower.” the doctor said
“yes doc.” Gabriel replied
“Do you need anything else?” the doctor asked
“yes.when can i get discharged?” Gabriel asked
“two weeks maybe longer if something happens again and no intercource or anything that gets your heart racing when you get home.” The doctor
“Ok doc, but i think i really can go home. My wife used to be a nurse before she left to be a stay at home wife.” Gabriel
“really?” The doctor asked
“yes i did.” Alexis replied
“Ok so we will watch him tonight just in case and then you can take him home tomorrow morning, but like i said before no intercource or anything that grts your heart racing.” The doctor
“Ok thank you, and i would like for him to get some rest so if you don't need anything else may i ask you to step out.” Alexis said
The doctor and nurse nod and walk off and Alexis closes and locks the door behind them.
“What do you think is your problem signing me up for this and on top of that who is going to take care of Leo while I have to cater to you?” Alexis asked scowling
“Who was taking care of him when you were here?” Gabriel asked
“My friend Riley until I could get one of the men to watch him.” Alexis said
“So the men will alternate every day so you can take care of me and you will be the boss of the men till i am ready.” Gabriel said
“Fine but no funny business at all and when we get home you are not moving from the bed.” alexis replied
“Ok” Gabriel said
The next day one of Gabrels men picked them up after being discharged and took them to the house, when they got Alexis put Gabriel in the shower and went in her room to prepare some things she would need for a week to stay with Gabriel. As Alexis walks back into Gabriels room and sees him shirtless with gray sweatpants still wet from the shower freshly shaved and messy shiny black hair Alexis snaps out of her daze when she hears Gabriel say “ Like what you see?” with a devilish smirk on his face.
“No not really just lost in thought.” Alexis said rolling her eyes and walking to the couch to put her bag down
Gabriel walks over to Alexis slowly grabbing her waist spinning her around taking one finger to lift her chin looking in her eyes that are the sweet color of honey slowly looking at her lips that are as red as roses from biting them from nervousness.
“Do I make you nervous, mi amor?” Gabriel asked with a smirk on his face
“No and don't call me that .” Alexis said shyly
“Are you sure, you don't like the name.” Gabriel asked
“Yes im sure im not your love your mi amor im nothing to you because your still married so until that changes i am just leos nanny and your nuse for two weeks.”Alexis said
“But the devorce has been finalized since our court day.”Gabriel replied
Alexis steps away from his touch feeling cold and silly for letting those words slip through her lips flopping onto the bed putting her face in her hands.
“Why do I even care?it's not like he's mine, it's not like he will ever love me or I will ever love him right . ” Alexis thought
