Chapter 9

Chris pov

On the first day of Lily's meeting, my parents went very well. They like her, I was sure of that and Lily also has a very good relationship already with them. We are at the restaurant now, we had dinner with Lily and then I offered to help my parents and so and Lily but my parents said no. We have only three days off from work so they want us to relax and rest. So I take Lily and I take her for a small tour of the city.

“It’s beautiful. And the weather is perfect tonight”

“I know. I like coming here when I have small breaks from work. It’s relaxing and calm.”

“It’s like my hometown. Not too big not too small. But everyone knows each other” she says and she smiles at me. We walk downtown and then reach the house. I take her to the basement and show her things from high school. Covers from football played and trophies I had from high school. Being an actor wasn’t in my dreams in high school. I wanted to be a football player, I had talent. But one wounding in my knee cost me that. The acting came later and I enjoyed doing it. At first, I liked the attention of the women, and to say the truth I had one-night stands but over the years I hate that the women approach me only for my name. That stopped that night six months ago when I see for the first time Lily. The girl of my dreams, I know that she also is a fan but she was the first one that she wanted to meet the real Chris. She is the only one who prefers to stay home and watch a movie, make dinner together, and spend time together. And she wants all that in-home, with anyone watching us. She is the first one that I think has something serious with her. I won't spend more time with her if I don’t have time I will find for her. I have made space for her in my closet and my drawers. It's the first time I’m doing that and it doesn’t scare me. Sometimes I catch myself dreaming about the future. A future with her and our kids and that doesn’t scare me at all

“Chris baby are you ok?” I hear Lily and me coming out of my daydream

“Yes, baby. Just thinking”

“What thinks?” She asks and she looks at me smiling

“Good things”

We walk upstairs to the guest room and after our shower, we lay on the bed.

“I had fun today. Your parents are amazing”

“I’m happy that you like them. They like you too. To be exact they adore you” I say and I kiss her head.

“Lily?”

“Yes baby”

“Move with me,” I say and she lifts her head to look at me

“What?” She asks and I see she is surprised

“Move with me,” I say again. She is shallow and she looks at me. I lift my body and I rest on the bed headboard. She does the same

“How does that come from?” she asks and continues looking at me. I sigh and I take her hands in mine

“For a person who is used to being alone, changing like this is not the simplest thing. Perhaps for a bachelor, it is the biggest change that can be made in his life. It was not my best to be alone. But you were the one who made me leave that life behind because you taught me that true love fills your soul. I wake up, I think about you I smile all day and I feel full. I miss absolutely nothing. Love is of exaggeration. Only when you leave behind the whole list of your "no" and "yes" in relationships, then you are with the right person, who makes your heart beat loudly.” I finished telling them that and she was smiling all the time

“You don’t know how happy I am that I make you feel like that” She lifts her body and sits on my lap her hands on my shoulders.

“I love you and to move in with you and create a new life together is a dream come true.” She kisses me and I smile. Then she cups my face

“I make you feel ready for that step. You make me feel the same. With anyone else, I felt the same. I find excuses to delay it or things like that but with you, from the beginning” She takes a breath

“I don’t know how it happened or how to explain it. It just felt like a mend to be. You know?” I smile and I give her a kiss

“I know what you mean baby. You do know how you explain it. Either I can. You made for me and I made for you. I’m sure of it” I say and we kiss again and again

“So that means that you will move with me?” I ask and she laughs

“What else could mean?” She asks and I lift my shoulders saying

“Don’t know. I want to be sure” I say and she tilts her head to the side smiling

“You don’t know how much I want it”

“Really?”

“You ask?” She says laughing

“Of course, I will live with you.” She says and I kiss her again.

“I love you baby”

“I love you too handsome,” she says and she hugs me. I could stay like this forever
