Love is not always just rainbows and butterflies. Love can be a rocky road, filled with heartbreaks and deception and it’s up to you how much you are willing to fight for your loved one.

Taylor’s world is turned upside down when she discovers that her pack is under the leadership of Alpha Jackson. The mere stories about the brutal and fierce man were enough to make Taylor’s stomach drop immediately and her heart pound like crazy in her fragile chest.

One of the things I like about this story is the contrast between the two leading characters. Alpha Jackson is this tall, muscular, fearsome, ruthless man who always looks chagrined, while Taylor is this happy girl, ready to embrace life, who wishes nothing more than to reestablish the bond she has with her childhood friends and live a peaceful, merry life.

It seems impossible for the two characters to feel drawn to each other, but they actually do. It’s clear evidence that opposites do attract. Following their tumultuous story is invigorating and among multiple schemes, betrayals, and deceptions, the two of them will find their way to each other.

Part 1: Mine-The Alpha’s Possession Novel Narrative

Mine-The Alpha's Possession Alpha Jackson

Taylor, a seventeen years old girl lives with her father since she was sixteen. Then, the Alpha of the pack she was living in with her mother died, and things seemed uncertain regarding their future. This is why the mother decided to send her daughter to live with her father and his new wife.

Taylor’s stepmother is a vicious woman, who hates children, especially her stepdaughter. She can’t even stand the girl’s presence in the house, thus she made Taylor get a job as soon as she moved into her father’s home. Even more, the vicious woman wouldn’t even allow her husband to help his daughter.

The girl works in a diner and never misses a day, not even when her friend Carter invites her to the swimming pool. She knew that his intentions are far more than friendly, but Taylor doesn’t share his feelings.

Instead, she is more than friends with Ethan, the pack’s head warrior, with whom she has a relationship hidden from everybody. They have training sessions together every day and, as soon as everyone else leaves, Ethan and Taylor stay behind and consume their relationship.

Everything changes for Taylor the minute she talks to her mother, who warns her that Alpha Jackson has taken over their pack since he killed Alpha Lucas. Everything changed for them so it’s not safe for Taylor to return home yet.

Alpha Jackson is known for killing multiple Alphas and absorbing all their packs, making him a ruthless leader. Taylor is torn between returning to her mother’s side and hiding from Alpha Jackson, who believed that the girl was somehow linked to Lucas.

One night, after training, Taylor finds her mother, her mate Isaac and Alpha Jackson waiting for her at home, ready to take her back to her pack. The girl is happy to do so, as she is looking forward to seeing her friends and resuming her old life.

Surprisingly for Taylor, Alpha Jackson pays a great deal of attention to her. Even though he is a cruel man, feared by all members of the pack, around the girl, he is gentle and takes good care of her. What could be the man’s real intentions toward Taylor? Could she love such a beast, a killer no less?

Part 2: A Short Insight Into Mine-The Alpha’s Possession Story

Mine-The Alpha's Possession Taylor

Taylor and Alpha Jackson make an unusual couple. She’s not just some fragile she-wolf in need of protection and he’s not one to exaggerate with offering a girl his attention. Apparently, they don’t need each other, but they still fall for one another and they still fight to make their bond strong for their pack.

I like how each main character is independent and capable of solving its own issues. There’s a lot of action going on throughout the novel, so seeing them act on their own as well as together gives the story a boost of entertainment.

Mine-The Alpha’s Possession Chapter 4

Seeing Lucas alive startled Taylor. Afraid that Victoria and Thomas could see the man, she begged him to go away. He stayed put though because he needed Taylor’s help. He had to surrender his pack in Alpha Jackson’s favor and this caused the breaking of the pack’s tethering. This is why everyone believed he was dead. He was in fact no more than a coward.

Realizing that Lucas being alive is the reason for which Alpha Jackson started asking questions about her whereabouts, she asks the man to never get in touch with her again. Her pack’s Alpha already believed that she had something to do with Lucas’s disappearance, so she didn’t want to lose her life over someone unworthy.

A sad, thin, and visibly malnourished Lucas went away, leaving Taylor alone. The girl entered her house, took a shower, and had a sleepless night. She woke up early the next day and went for a run. Unfortunately, she ran into Lucas again in a cave and gave him some advice regarding the best place for him to hide, a no man’s land.

Her day went by just like any other day with school, work, and training. This time, she was in no mood to make out with Ethan, so the two of them just talked, with the man assuring her that, if she ever decided to leave her home, he would receive her with open arms.

At home, Taylor has the surprise of her lifetime. Her mother, Isaac, and Alpha Jackson were waiting for her. The imposing man looked dead gorgeous and muscular, but his posture also emanated fear and cruelty. They had come to take Taylor home, to her pack.
