In Lover’s Eternal Book, the Lessening Society was bent on eradicating vampires in the city. The Black Dagger Brotherhood was coined to protect vampires that survived at such a crucial time. One of the members of the Black Dagger Brotherhood was Rhage.

Rhage was the strongest and most efficient vampire alive at such a time of extinction, but he was cursed. He was cursed by the Scribe Virgin. It would interest you to know the reason Rhage was cursed by the Scribe Virgin, very flimsy if you ask me.

Growing up and without a mature sense of reasoning, Rhage killed an owl. Owls were sacred at the time, especially to the Scribe Virgin, and so the Scribe Virgin cursed him with the beast. A dragon lived inside of Rhage, and it manifested anytime he became upset or very emotional.

Part 1: Story Line of Lover Eternal

Lover Eternal Lessening Society

Rhage lived in the brotherhood compound which was akin to a safe haven for vampires. As mentioned earlier, he was the strongest, fastest, and most skilled. Rhage had friends that lived in the brotherhood with him, including an ex-cop called Butch.

As a result of the close-knit relationship he had with his friends and members of the brotherhood, he dreaded one thing and one thing only, manifesting the beast, the dragon that lived inside him after being cursed by the Scribe Virgin. The beast would destroy everyone around him, and destroy Rhage as well if he was not careful to control it properly. However, a parallel reality brings Rhage and his mate together.

While Rhage was soaked in the horror of the beast that lived inside of him, Mary suffered her own personal travails. She had to go through deep treatment for Leukemia and as a result of this lost touch with what one would call her life calling of handling autistic patients.

She worked as an accountant, and she also volunteered to her service for humanity by giving attention to a suicide prevention hotline. This was the point where she met her Lover Eternal.

A young boy called John called the hotline frequently and became attached to Mary as a result of this. He lived across from the hotline office, and having spied on Mary countless times, decided to follow her home one evening. Pretty creepy if you ask me.

Well, the lessening society and the brotherhood were head-to-head in a battle for totality, and the town was not safe, so John gave this as an excuse for why he followed Mary home without her knowledge. But there was a fated turn of events here. John was identified as a pre-trans vampire by Mary’s neighbor who urged him to join the brotherhood for protection.

John was reluctant to do so at first, however, he agreed later on, and asked that the only condition to be met before he went to the brotherhood for safety, as if Mary escorted him there.

Mary agreed, and that was how she met Rhage. Rhage, at this point, was blind following one of his fits from manifesting the dragon, but he heard Mary’s voice and knew that she was the one for him, although he was pretty aggressive with the way he approached her.

Somehow, Mary’s memory about her visit to the brotherhood compound was erased from her mind, and after a blind date which was made possible by Bella, she got hooked on Rhage. Rhage went by a different name at this time of blind dating.

Mary officially met Rhage on a blind date after the aggressive encounter she had with him at the brotherhood.
