Acquiring new skills
When Elayne defeated the mushrooms, she acquired the dropped items and gold. She had also leveled up and saw that her stats had increased. Warriors increased strength, tanks increase HP and vitality and mages go for intelligence and MP.
Acorn was thereby Elayne, explaining how to invest in Mana, use skills and acquire them. There were so many options available, she was unsure what to get. With her ten skill points, she was able to get five new skills.
She chose Life Drain, a powerful Life-Attribute Spirit which enabled her to manipulate the life of her enemies and drain it from their bodies. Another skill was Tame, which enabled her to tame a monster. She had to treat the monster well and keep him well-fed to not run away.

Her guide was surprised by how weird her chosen skills were. Elayne immediately summons a white goat, which started to groan louder and louder, until the mushrooms started to notice her and Acorn.
