Part 1: Severin’s Storyline In Life After Prison

The North Pole prison was known to be the world’s strictest prison. No one could escape. Situated beneath the earth’s surface, it hosted some of the most vicious criminals around the world.

After five years of being imprisoned here, Severin was finally being released. An elevator rose to the surface, bringing him closer to freedom.

The truth was that Severin could have left the place whenever he wanted. During the years he was in prison, he subdued every individual there, no matter if they were warlords, secret agents or leaders of international dangerous organizations.

When Dracodom was at war, the officials sent their best warriors to be trained by Severin, thus turning the tide and leading them to victory.

Reaching the gates, Severin took one last glance at old Wacko, the man who willingly trained him and made him a better version of himself. When Severin first came to prison, he witnessed old Wacko being bullied and starving. He shared his food with the old guy and spend his afternoons chatting with him.

He eventually realized that the grey-haired man was actually a savant and he was willing to share his knowledge with Severin. Today, they were both being released from prison but they were going separate ways.

Life After Prison Severin

Outside, Severin was greeted by the four great war heroes he trained to win the war. They were grateful for Severin’s help and came to present their achievements. Each of them received a district to rule over and an infinite amount of money.

They presented Severin with a credit card, promising to add more money every time it runs out. One of them offered a district for him to rule and another offered his niece’s hand in marriage.

Severin refused everything but the credit card. He wanted to return home to his parents and fiancée, Luci. She had promised to wait for him and now that he was released ahead of time would surely please her.

He had been convicted after a drunken night. A vile man named Easton tricked him into gambling the honor of his own girlfriend. He lost and Easton dragged him home and made him look as he was trying to force himself on Lucy.

Hearing his fiancée scream sobered Severin who grabbed a bottle and smashed it on Easton’s head. This earned him a ten-year jail sentence. The girl forgave him and promised to wait for him in their home.

Standing in front of his mansion, Severin was eager to see his parents and Lucy. Opening the front door, he could hear moans coming from the bedroom. Sure enough, Lucy was in bed with a man. And the man was none other than Easton!

Upon spotting her ex-fiancée, Lucy showed no remorse. On the contrary, she seemed irritated with his presence. She admitted hooking up with Easton six months after Severin’s imprisonment because the man was rich and could offer her everything that he, as an ex-convict, couldn’t.

Furthermore, Lucy sold the mansion to Easton for half its worth and prompted his parents to move to the suburbs. She refused to pay back the dowry she received before Severin’s imprisonment.

Filled with anger, Severin promised to make them pay for their wrong doings. He went straight to seek his parents. Finding their home, he saw a young girl placing an envelope on their doorstep and running away.

His parents were having financial difficulties and, on top of that, Easton’s lackeys were constantly bullying them and asking for money.

Severin decided to take the matter in his own hands. Apart from his quest, he also had to figure out who was the girl who helped his parents throughout the past years.

When he sees her entering a mansion and spots a little girl running in her arms calling her mom, Severin is dumbfounded. He knocked on the door and demanded to know who was she and what was her relation with his parents.

The woman named Diane smacked Severin over the head and kicked him out for not remembering her. Just when she closed the door, Selene, her daughter asked her if her daddy was back. Now Diane had no choice but to tell Severin the truth. Selene was the consequence of their one-night stand. She was their daughter.

How will Severin react? Is he ready to have a family with Diane and Selene? And can he protect them from his enemies?

Part 2: Major Themes In Life After Prison Novel

Life After Prison Diane

Life After Prison is a realistic fiction, with a twist of revenge and romance. Without a doubt, the primary focus here is on the revenge theme, as our main character’s defining traits make us think about power, wits and achievements.

Life After Prison Severin is a complex character whose thirst for payback derived from being wronged by authorities. He knew his enemies influenced the jail sentence, thus he focused his anger towards Easton.

To make his anguish complete, Lucy betrayed him in the worse way possible by beginning a relationship with her abuser, the responsible for him being in prison.

If he initially believed that his sentence would suffice for wounding Easton’s ego, he was wrong. The man didn’t let go, chasing his family away from their mansion and hovering over their heads, asking for money.

It’s only natural that Severin couldn’t hold back and needed to retaliate, especially after learning the hardships his parents went through because of Easton and Lucy.

The love theme comes second. Although it’s not as present or dominating as revenge theme, it’s still as important and thrilling altogether. Severin and Diane are already a family before they even fall in love.
