In Love in the Limelight, one person is forced to take on a ton of bad guys. Love in the Limelight takes us into a story of victory and strength, but also one of loneliness. Her strength was forged from hard experiences. However, hope is always present.

There’s nothing like a story that will inevitably have you rooting for your favorite character to succeed. Want more? See the next one.

Part 1: Main Characters of Love in the Limelight

Astrid

Love in the Limelight: Astrid

In Love in the Limelight, Astrid is a character of a wide range. As the protagonist, she excels in her versatility and straight-forwardness. Her inclinations and depth are much to be desired in a character like hers.

There is a lot about Astrid that creates a major relatable vibe with the reader. No one is born with a steel heart or lethal fighting skills. The combination of those two things is enough to tell us what the young woman has been through. There must have been a need to protect herself and her heart.

From the story, we see why Astrid became the way she was; left and right, there are people who want nothing more than to use her or obtain benefits that they do not deserve. However, while most people completely close themselves off in the face of such things, Astrid takes a different route.

She clearly understands the dynamics of human relationships and the reckless behavior of selfish and self-centered people seeking gains; she doesn’t push away in the first instance, but rather, opens the door wide enough to see the stupidity of others and subsequently slams it in their face.

It’s not an exaggeration to call her the most satisfying character in the book. The author makes her the refreshing and hard-to-ignore comfort we didn’t know we needed.

Love in the Limelight is a tad sweet and a teensy bit dramatic. I particularly enjoy reading the interactions between Roman and Astrid. Their connection is so obvious and beautiful.

Elio Lampard

Love in the Limelight: Elio

He’s the most sought-after bachelor. What does he have that all women want him? Well, all except one. Maybe it’s his money or maybe his good looks. Or maybe both. In any case, Elio Lampard is the dream husband for a lot of single ladies. However, he sems to have eyes for only one and she doesn’t seem to notice and if she does, it’s not worth her precious time.

But what will be, will be. Elio can’t stop his son from clinging to the beautiful fairy that he chose for his mother. Not like he even wants to. When he thinks he’s seen every surprise she could have up her sleeve, she suddenly pulls out another one.

Part 2: Story of Love in the Limelight

Love in the Limelight: Astrid and Elio

Love in the Limelight follows Astrid, whose life can be summed up into one word, ‘Chaotic’. She has lived quite an eventful life, and yet, she’s still so young.

It happened on the day she returned home drunk. Yes, she was drunk. But she wasn’t drunk enough not to notice the signs of someone breaking into her house. After a game of cat and mouse where she pretended to be the mouse caught in the cat’s trap, Astrid takes down a perverted bastard in the hotel room she was abducted to.

This tiger pretending to be a mouse, took off for the elevator, and that was how she met Elio Lampard. The man stood in the elevator with his son and in the next moment, the boy had latched on to her. Roman had chosen her to be his mother and did not pay attention to his father anymore.

Astrid could not shake off the child and his father didn’t bother, long used to the kid’s tantrums. Astrid could only take him home with the bodyguards on her tail. She could not have known that it would be the start of an unlikely relationship with one of the richest and most eligible bachelors in the country.

Meanwhile, her other identity as the capable and incomparable Dr. Aster, was revealed to the same man.

Elio Lampard can’t deny his curiosity and interest in the woman who seemed to hold the world in her grasp. The unexplainable pull she had over him could be the key to a lot of the questions he needed answers to.

Astrid has quite a lot on her hands already, but the cute and adorable Roman Lampard is someone she can never turn her back to. If you want something just as sweet, the next recommendation will not disappoint.

Part 3: Critical Thoughts on Love in the Limelight

Love in the Limelight: Elio and Roman

For sure, there will be a lot of varying opinions about the life of the protagonist in Love in the Limelight. The author spares nothing to make her such a well-rounded character. But maybe that is the problem; she’s too perfect. There is just something about character growth that is so very compelling. Essentially, a lot of us just prefer that long and sweet road to victory, taking the path of coals and nails along with the characters. Why? I can’t answer that, I’m not a psychiatrist.

But in my opinion, that character growth we seem to love could stem from the way reality always seems to be stuck until it starts moving again. Live can seem so unchanging and dreary, but our favorite characters are moving forward, so it definitely means that we’re moving forward too.

Back to the protagonist though, the author may have given us a great story, but the limited backstories make the story quite arid. However, what the story lacks in backstories, it makes up for with revenge and butt-kicking.

In Love in the Limelight, our protagonist seems like she’s taking life by the horns and fighting hard to stand strong. At some point, you start to feel like her character is just waiting for something amazing to happen. But by the time that amazing thing happens, you’re too preoccupied with the suspense and romance to notice.

We can clearly see that the protagonist is missing something. She had no idea that what she lost would come back to her in such an unexpected way. Love in the Limelight is a story you won’t regret reading.

Part 4: Amazing Chapter from Love in the Limelight

Chapter 7

Love in the Limelight: Astrid and Elio, The Story

Astrid was prepared to give the old man a piece of her mind, but then she considered the hefty pay he usually gives. Eventually, she decided to treat the job as an opportunity for extra cash. She straight-up demanded 80% and didn’t allow the man to negotiate further. Astrid hung up before he could get to the end of his sob story.

Meanwhile, in a villa in Sunhaven, top-notch doctors from all over had arrived. However, none of them could do anything to help the old lady who was lying in bed, pale as a ghost. She looked ready to kick the bucket at any moment.

With a knock from the door, Elio emerged, to the disappointment of the young man who was eagerly awaiting the miraculous doctor. The specialist Elio called could do nothing about the old lady’s situation. Now they were all awaiting ‘Aster the savior’.

Soon, a commotion could be heard downstairs and Elio went to take a look. However, the figure of the person was quite familiar to him, even if she wore a mask, he recognized her at once.

Astrid explained to the crowd blocking her path that she was there to treat the old lady. However, none of the people present believed her. They were all expecting a male doctor and not a female, especially not one that looked so young.

Elio arrived and told them to let her in. The bodyguard claimed that Astrid was impersonating Dr. Aster, but Elio shut him up with the urgency of the situation. The bodyguards were all afraid of being implicated and having to face Wylie.

Astrid was led by Elio towards the old lady’s room. Astrid wasn’t sure if Elio recognized her or not.

Looking for more badass drama? Alright, see the recommendation.
